Without the Norwegian merchant fleet Britain would have lost (they almost lost anyway). Imagine them losing 50% of the supplies - forget it.
Without Britain the US would NEVER have gotten involved in the war in Europe (they almost at one point supported Germany anyway).
Also, if the US pulled out completely the Soviets wouldn't get shipments from the US (which they absolutely needed).

There would be no Danish vikings without Norway. We invaded them first (for centuries), before they started building ships and counter attacking.

I'm telling you 1000 of the most modern ships in the world at the time was no small deal. HALF of the supplies to Britain was brought on Norwegian ships (the third largest merchant fleet in the world at the time). They almost lost the war even with the Norwegian merchant ships on their side... imagine them losing 50% of the supplies.
