I seriously can't watch anything anymore from Kikewood. Even without the degeneracy most movies have shit writing and are completely forgettable.

The Alien setting was written a long time ago. Thats when the "rules" of what is possible and what isn't were established, and back then space travel seemed closer to reality than bio-engineering.
Again, the term retro-futuristic really comes into play here. This is meant to be the 70's sci-fi future, not our modern day sci-fi future.
Which is also why I wanted to see the old movies blocky terminal computers and big, dirty tech. Seems a bit too clean and too Apple now.
The casting for this looks like shit. Franco and McBride seem like they're half in pineapple express mode.
