Liberals and dems are severely outgunned even in states where they hold the majority, and a vast majority of these states are too apolitical to form any sort of unified front.
If it were to happen it would be over in 2 days, every republican with a gun would just barricade themselves and pop shots at the aggressors as the government steamrolls the rest of them.
The only combat zones would be liberal majority cities, which could easily have their supply lines cut even in the event they posed any sort of threat.
The big issue what would ensue after the bloodbath, a full policed state that would linger long after the presidency of Trump.
If the democrats want a fight, they'll get one. There won't be a real civil war though because the dems and republicans are all mixed together across the country. In the Civil War the two parties were geographically separated.

Having lived there I can tell you it's the most divided state in the country, with a few liberal counties surrounded by heavily Republican ones.
