Everyone, thanks in part to the internet, is living in a media bubble that is designed to feed our confirmation bias. As a country we are disconnected from the reality of our decisions and it will doom us sooner rather than later. The symbolism was pretty overt, the housing crash for example. Regardless it actually did a reasonable job of addressing some issues that are usually ignored in pop culture.
