The only video games I enjoy are from around 2010 and earlier. All tv and movies have been trash for a while.

Honestly I can only really recommend anime. Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu was amazing. Monster was great too, they're both tied for my favorite show.

What I had in mind was, that with niche stuff creator has more control over the final product. There aren't any racial quotas to hit or stuff being removed because it's problematic.

Anime is the only medium left that contains traditional gender roles and feminine females. You can sometimes find these in western media, but they are only present in 'period pieces' that take place before WW2, and even then, the females in the show are usually overbearing and 'strong'.

Can only re-iterate my recommendations that I made here Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is an excellent drama with outstanding direction. Its hard to sell it based on its premise so I can only ask you to simply give at least the first episode a try. Its highly praised, but still pretty underappreciated.

Monster is a Psychological drama about a japanese neuro-surgeon in germany, who, having to decide between saving a high official or a child with a bullet-wound in its skull, chooses to save the child instead, ruining his career in the process, only to find out that the kid has vanished days later, literally leaving a trail of corpses behind that all seem to connect back to him.
The story spans through many different locations in germany and hungary, and its excecuted very maturely while also doing a great job of presenting its settings authentically. I absolutely loved it, a one-of-a-kind anime. Has some political themes too, criticises both extremes, though, without spoiling too much, puts more focus on the failures of socialism and marxist brainwashing-efforts than on the obligatory "evil nazis" story-arc.
The episode-count may be daunting, but believe me every single episode is worth it and part of the greater picture.

Golgo 13, Berserk (the 90s one, havn't watched the new series they released. but this is the only one that i really recomend reading the Manga first before watching.) most of the Lupin III movies, The animu in OP's picture: Kino's Journey, Drifters is pretty great. Samurai Champloo, Jormungand, Gintama, Joker Game. Space Dandy had some top tier animation.
