Is it redpilled to be a musician?
I don't mean some hippie douche, but if you play insanely technical music, i.e. classical, jazz, prog, etc.
What do you think?

If you can make music people can't dance to, congratz, you're redpilled.
t. 2017
If you aren't making a living doing it, it's just a hobby, and if you don't have a day job, you're a parasitical NEET with delusions of grandeur.
Any art which utilizes imagination and technique of man is contribution to civilization and therefore good for humanity. However, if you are still thinking by labels like "redpilled", you are not what you consider redpilled.
What if you can make a solid $60k as a music producer? Or a session bassist for example
Jazz is bluepilled. Otherwise, sure. Just as long as you write good music and not shitty music, aye user?
a redpilled pastime much better than TV or Sup Forums
but unless you're touring concert halls it's not a profession
many great men have played music but most did something else as well to be called great
Nero played the fiddle but that's not we still hear about him playing the fiddle
If the taxpayer or your parents are subsidizing your lifestyle, then you are a net-loss, and it doesn't matter if you make 60k or 600k. You're either self-sufficient or you're not.
>implying it isn't vital for culture to have its art survive not simply by perpetuation by an elite but also by beign exposted and emulated by the masses
When the art becomes the property of a gated elite, when the culture is disconnected from the people, that is when the culture dies.
Musicians can be red pilled or blue pilled
Blue pilled musician thoughts
>vocals? Carry a melody? That's racist, I'm hip hop
>I'm painting a "soundscape" it doesn't matter what notes I use
>where's that damn loop or sample I want?
>If it sounds good, do it... What do you mean musical collage?
Red pilled musician thoughts
>I hope no one notices my heavy use of counterpoint
>god I wish this session musician would just hit the notes they're meant
>is that guitarist incapable of sheet music? oh wow I will not tab shit for him
>what the fuck is my bassist doing? Can he not read voicings?
>I wish this guy would just make his "music theory is evil" argument so I can tell him he's an anti intellectual idiot and tell him to fuck off and stop pretending being willfully idiotic is being open minded
Being a red pilled musician sucks.
Women only like blue pilled musicians.
