I doubt that. There is very little negatives to having a wall. They require little upkeep if built well.

Nah, most arguments against the wall are concern trolling attempts relating to cost, effectiveness, etc. Once the thing is up there isn't any good argument for tearing it down except for helping illegals and drug dealers which is political suicide to openly talk about.

To top it off wherever it went down first would see a huge influx of crime and entitlement/ER abuse, so even the Democrats would hold it up forever if it meant that the part protecting their district was going to get torn down. State and local authorities would also keep it repaired even if the feds didn't, if there actually is going to be a border wall you don't want a hole in it near your town. In short once the thing is up it's staying up for our lifetimes.

The smart ones should already have prototypes. He's dropped enough hints that he's building a wall.

He's not asking them to design a new complex piece of machinery or even some fancy way of making a wall. He's asking them to quote prices and compare them with now sturdy they think they can make it over all those miles. Those contractors already have their own ideas on what kind of wall to build so Trump just needs to pick what he thinks is the best compromise.

Two weeks is more than enough to mull it over on paper.
