Danzig of war is not "looking the an excuse"... that was a legitimate reason. The lives of 400k Germans were at stake and Poland had already mobilized against Danzig and Germany. Also the other Germans within Poland were also at risk.

It is not about "looking for an excuse", Poland basically created a legitimate reason thanks to the clean slate they got from Britain.

Without the war, nearly the same result would have happened. USSR would have had more time for militarization while Germany starts to lose the economic war in the long run (against 3 empires) because they don't have any resources themselves.

I agree though, Hitler should have waited a bit longer for Poland to go literally full retard and then attack, after the everyone in the world could no longer deny the polish agitation. And directly after the invasion started, start the "total war" economy and not a few years later, i.e. 1943. That was way too late.

We are moving towards a big crisis, I think civil war for Sweden, Germany, Austria and France is inevitable. When this happens, the surrounding countries will decline too because of the crushed economy.

All in all, a big happening in the next 20 years, death toll way above 1 million and the natives trying to clean the continent. I can see east Europe moving in and helping with the removal of kebap. Also this might be the time when russia makes a move, who knows.
