Why wasn't Fascist Italy the powerhouse that National Socialist Germany was?

What were their main differences?

Not as industrialized.

Not as big.

Not as advanced and prepared militarily.

Not as united.

Etc.

I'm aware that they didn't focus that much on their military, but other than that they became a fascist country 11 years before Germany.
Also, Germany was completely destroyed before that.

I feel like Hitler secretly thought poorly of Mussolini.

Mussolini was a huge inspiration for him before he got to power. Maybe during the war he started to change his mind while still respecting him.

Shitty memes.

Italians are lazy fucks. The only reason they didn't do as well..

Mussolini and fascism couldn't change the basic genetic fact of Italians being the literal niggers of (((Europe)))

Wait, they are actually worse than niggers
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Italo-Ethiopian_War

Not as Aryan

Mussolini only attacked targets that were weak, Everyone called him a chicken shit

This. Italians were and still are shit tier.

Man, I'd love to meet the chuckle fucks who thought that was a great look.

I'm not talking about war only, but other issues such as economy.
I don't really know many differences on policies other than they didn't persecute jews, didn't make anti race mixing laws and didn't focus that much on the military.

Hitler allowed more private businesses to grow.

Mussolini nationalized about 80% of his economy.

They were 20 years behind every other nation involved technologically.

Italy wasn't anywhere near as developed as Germany. Mussolini was pretty realistic about this too and tried to tell Hitler he needed more time for Italy to grow. Mussolini's problem is his plan backfired when he thought the war was almost over and that Hitler did all the heavy lifting and he'd get land off France just for jumping in last second.

>cultural and social capital of Europe
Kickstarted the Renaissance
>Gave birth to civilizations like Rome, italian city states, minds like DaVinci, machiavelli, etc
>Literal niggers

Okay Schlomo.

Hello my (((greatest ally)))

dem digitz

Musso tried. He had a lot of success in putting the economy on it's feet - especially throuh investments in north africa. Close cooperation between government and corporations proved to be very profitable for both - thats why fashism was so popular back then, and why some call todays USA a fashist state.
But you just can't build a clay statue from shit. Wile north italians are civilised people, with decent industry, work ethic & responsibility, the south italians are basically niggers. Lazy, dumb, and fucking stupid.

heebs will not divide us

Italy has an ancient type of fleas... they are called the "Black Nobility" or "the Venetian Nobility".
They used to control most of Italy... and although they have left Italy for the most part, unfortunately, they still don't wanna lose their ancient host!

youtube.com/watch?v=NFeSm5x4W4o

Hitler was jelous of italys rich history. Mussolini dug up roman settlings out side of rome. Himmler dug up mudhuts and stone tools. I wouldnt call this hate

youtu.be/A5sbegfCz7o?t=1h14m33s

Because theyre italians. Living with your mum until you are in your 30's and crying every time you are made to work for more than 4 consecutive hours don't make strong fascists.

Full of Italians.

Our greatest ally, fucking wannabe American monkey

> Italian ancient fleas

Sorry for trying to steal your greatest ally from you

Less raw materials.

Less industry.

Less nationalistic feelings.

Incompetent officer corps and no martial tradition.

Mussolini was a better leader then Hitler but he was virtually alone in Italy in that regard.

Between 1933 and 1937, Germany was just the junior partner in the Axis. Italy was the main military and economic power.

Not even kidding. Only after a few years did Hitler manage to make the German army powerful and the German economy strong again.

Italy got fucked over by Germany and the rest of the world didn't care
Mussolini should've fought against Hitler

Italy's issue was that they modernized too soon. What resulted in them being technologically behind by the time of ww2.

You see, upgrading your military to a brand new level is expensive and time consuming. Especially if your industry is rather limited. So if you start several years before everyone else, you are going to be behind when they modernize their military. And at that point you will not have the budget to modernize again as the last one just finished.

Civic Nationalism VS Ethnonationalism

>Also, Germany was completely destroyed before that.

No. No, it wasn't.

t. Pastanigger

But genetically Askenazi Jews are descended from Southern Italian women.

Mussolini raped the Italian economy with the war in Ethiopia and the amount of war resources he threw through indirect support during the Spanish Civil war.
IF he had stayed out of Ethiopia and Spain, Italy would've fared better, though it's hard to say how much better.
The Regio Esercito had notoriously poor officers leading the troops. Basically every time German officers were in command, Italian troops fought pretty well. Anyone else; poorly.

Aside from command, Italy was not as unified or industrialized as was required to take on major powers like France, the UK or the US. Or even the damn Greeks for that matter.

The Italian Navy was large but mostly outdated. Too many old guard admirals holding onto ideas of battleship supremacy over the potential for carrier based aircraft effectiveness. Also, not quite big enough to tangle with the Royal Navy, so they spent most of the war docked up.

Regia Aeronautica had good pilots and some decent planes. Needed german engines to push their machines to full potential.

Hyperinflation does things, that's why the NSDAP kept gold marks instead of paper.

Not at the beginning at least, the march that got Hitler imprisoned was inspired to Mussolini's march on Rome

Not in the north. Probably the best people in europe.

Italians are lazy and pompous.

Ok satan

Congrats on those tripz

How the fuck, you have to have the worst military in the world to lose 800 men to 9.

...

Other way round. Mussolini used to badmouth Hitler all the time in private. Hitler was fond of Mussolini because he was the inspiration behind the Beer Hall Putsch.

Socialism is fucked, but the irony is they actually are winning the long war. Watch

youtube.com/watch?v=bX3EZCVj2XA

oh shit

Italians are lazy.

I watched that Grand Design show. Whenever they try to build in Italy they have to deal with incompetent workers who do hours work and then disappear for their siesta.

There is no way they could build the industry needed to be a power like Germany.

This is a thread about italian fascism, not socialism

if you know yourself, and you know your enemy, you will always win

Woah... deep...

WW2 was a single episode in a much larger conflict. Germany still doesn't realize this, but Italy knew it from the beginning. Italy pulled out of the war in the best way possible, was punished the least, compared to Germany and Japan. That's why Germans today shitpost on Sup Forums about their shekels and fleeting ((racial purity)) while their women get BLACKED, and why Merkel and co., need to stage coups in Italy to keep the redpilled under control.

...

OP, Germany would have won the war if hitler waited 2 years. Mussolini knew there was a war coming, and hitler had later out plans with him. Mussolini requested two years to ready his people and army and stockpiles. Hitler went autist and invaded Poland in 1939, and Italy was victorious in Africa. But the Italian war machine fell short because they were not ready, essentially stressing the German war machine in the end. Italy could have been powerful in the early years, but it didn't have a need to until war was upon them

Most Italins didnt truly support fascism. They were opportunists

Opportunists are great when you're gaining power, they flock to you. As you said they gained power quicker than Hitler. but when shit hits the fan they jump ship.

Italy was bigger before the Spanish Civil War 36-39, you have to see Spain just like Germany see Poland, is the natural expansion, , yes Germany spend lot of resources testing things here but the italian involvement was bigger, they should need at least 5 years more to join the axis

Bullshit, everybody loved fascism. Mussolini was a big force for more national unity beyond regional borders, he cracked down on corruption and mafia, which are the two biggest evils plaguing our country right now.
He failed because of his delusions of grandeur and the lack of technical experts in his cabinet. If he just focused national efforts in building a strong industrial complex instead of pissing men and resources in pissing contest wars, things would have been different.
