You don't seem to understand the point behind EU, then. Most of those countries are fine on their own, why would they want to lose sovereignty and fiscal control and gain nothing? EU is about globalism, control and cheap labor. Fuck off with european union already.

This is the very reason the EU started. It has and always will be an economic union with the goal of competing globally.

Every Major player on earth is slowly marching towards true globalism, not the 1% elitism bullshit, but cultural and financial hegemony.

The US has had a huge head start, and Russia was always fighting a loosing battle. The current players are the US in the lead, China, and the EU. The EU cant get it's shit together, and really never will because they fail to grasp that they cant be the "old world" and the "new world", and its people like their history and heritage.
