What point are you even trying to make

Because this, user.

It is hard

The free market transforms our greed/selfishness into altruism and pro-social behavior.

>In order to survive/acquire wealth, you must provide goods or services that other people desire.
>the more you provide, the more you wealth you can accumulate

>implying charter schools are worse than public schools
Go suck some more public sector union dick, Al Franken

Honest question
How and why would you want to regulate this comical product out of existence?

>Private company teaching children whatever they want while getting shekels
I sure do hope ((((they)))) didn't come up with this!

>Pop tarts
>simple food

That's exactly what it is, comical. Nothing but a gag. How do you think it got here in the first place? Constantly importing bullshit from china.

I was just giving an example, go to your local supermarket and check the ingredients of foods made by big corporations.

move to cuba/venezuela/north korea for a week then let us know how you feel about capitalism, you huge homosexual

why is it always the first world countries the ones who complain about what gives them all their luxuries?

It has led to the most prosperity of any economic system in history....seems like a pretty good reason to embrace an economic system

investopedia.com/terms/c/coase-theorem.asp

Study some elementary Chicago Law and Economics.

Is this a bad thing?

Yes

Why exactly?

Why?

Do sirens not go off in your head when you see genetically modified tomatos that don't rot? Or are you so bluepilled that you just see "MUH INNOVATION! MUH FUCHUR TECHNOLOGEEZ!!"

I see less waste due to rot. Less waste = more efficiency = cheaper prices = I have more money to buy other shit.

If you have some evidence that those gene silenced tomatoes are somehow bad for you, then I'm all ears.

>Explain to me why the free market/capitalism is a good idea.

It is the only mechanism that actually works.

btw, apples stored properly can last months before rotting. Its not like they magically become unwholesome because they don't rot

>Not being a Dotard in 2017
lul
But yeah, Shanghai was a fucking shitshow (RIP 2GD)

>Explain to me why the free market/capitalism is a good idea.

"Free market" is economic darwinism. This is the system that brought you into the world.

Would you say that it's better for you to exist? or worse?

...

It's the only realistic system because it relies on the certainty of failure.

>tfw republican
>tfw drive subaru and listen to npr
>tfw you hate tranny faggots but don't really care about regular faggots
>tfw DUDE WEED LMAO
>tfw you hate SJWs/commies/socialists/"progressives"/liberals more than anything

>X-boy
>for ex boys

christ

Uh... good rebuttal?

Is that the reason you want it banned/reflgulated? Because it's a gag? Commies really are no fun

Anyway you didn't answer my
>how
Question

Well, it's genetically modified foods in general. Hopefully you don't see me as a hippie freak, but when you eat foods, you take in the dna into yours, and when you start modifying nature (which is perfectly fine without modification) and the foods you take in, it starts affecting your DNA. I've tried to explain that as best as I could.

>he thinks we have a free market
Top kek

Who forces you to buy that shit?

Peruvians reee

I indirectly answered your how question, you are too busy "muh commies" to realize

263 grams of the sugar jew? My lanta

As an actual scientist, I can tell you unequivocally that your conceptions about GMOs are just plain wrong. I understand many of the environmental concerns about GMOs, but the health related concerns are based on ignorance. That somehow that DNA becomes mingled with our own DNA is totally upsurd. If that were the case, the more tomatoes we eat, the more we would look like tomatoes, regardless of GMO or not. When we digest DNA from any source, our bodies break down the DNA into tiny little buidling blocks and then rebuild the DNA (into copies of our own) when our cells divide

>you take in the dna into yours
sauce me nigger

Trademark abuse is deception and thus a violation of the NAP

>Big corporations ran by (((them))) putting a cocktail of chemicals into foods
>All produce being pumped with genetic modification
>All food seeds are gmo too
>"Just buy from small businesses you hippie!!"
>Small honest businesses get put out of business because muh corporation
>All you have to eat is apples made of plastic and barely legal to drink water
MUH FREEDOM!!!

Canada it's pretty based when they drop their leaves

Its simplicity is astounding.

Capitalism has never been tried

>obvious strawman is obvious
>implying the "x-boy" could compete with an x-box
>implying people would prefer "Kine" over Nike
Patents are not a part of the free market. In an absolute free market, quality to price over ability to distribute reigns king.
China does not have the ability to produce quality, and that's where your strawman implied argument falls apart.

That's a picture and it leaves a lot out.
We grow tomatos at my house and they can last about 30 days off the vine if they're refrigerated.

Don't do this shit. Do not follow the socialist model of argument because it is fucking retarded.
The western world uses capitalism to great success. It's not pure capitalism, no, but how could pure capitalism ever be implemented in a world run by humans?
In the future, capitalism as we have it today, will be dissected into what works and what doesn't, and a new philosophy will rise from it.

all markets have some form of regulation
your conception of the 'free market' is a straw man

Exactly, no need for gmo then. But who's to say that the seeds you started with weren't modified?

Do you even know what qualifies as GMO?
If we breed corn - not manipulate it's DNA or do any scientific voodoo - but just breed it to have characteristics, it's considered GMO.
You should be more concerned with how things are labeled instead of the label itself. I think it's somewhere around 90% of all crops are GMO and only +/-8% of that 90% are genetically modified in a lab.
You need to do a lot more research before commenting on if something is bad or not.

>reducing food waste is bad
What gene was silenced and what does it regulate/promote?

>It's alright goy! Buy our GMO's! Only 8% were modified in a lab! Trust me!

>REEEEEEEEEE WHY IS THIS MICROWAVE FOOD NOT PINNACLE OF HEALTHYNESS
>WE NEED COMMUNISM NOW!

>strawman
(you)

>when you eat foods, you take in the dna into yours
>it starts affecting your DNA
>I've tried to explain that as best as I could.
You, my friend, are a complete fucking idiot. Buy a biology book and read it.

>cross a type of tomato from Europe with a type of tomato from some asean country
>counts as GMO
>unhealthy
Don't be retarded. GMOs are not good for you, but crossbreeding species of plants has been done forever since the dawn of humanity, it's just now they have to brand it as GMO.

>Explain to me why the free market/capitalism is a good idea.

nobody is forcing you to buy what is obviously garbage

>GMOs are not good for you
You need to support this with evidence.

>shanghai major
topkek

the consumers decide what the market offers.

if the consumers want/buy shit, the market will sell shit, packet in a box, ready to microwave and eat it.
if the consumers want quality products, the market will sell quality products.

don't blame the free market for selling you crap. blame the people who buy this crap. this is how the free market work.

>eat some burgers
>DNA intertwines with mine
>start clapping uncontrollably and gain 100lbs
Oh say can you see

They label crossbreeds as gmo so you don't know if you you're getting lab chemicals or hybrids. (Hint: High chance you are getting mutant freak foods)

But what if there are left over chemical agents in the tomatoes that they used to modify the plant?

Or in cows, what if there are growth hormones left over in the meat?

Try medieval Iceland. They had an anarcho capitalist society that was very stable. It lasted almost 300 years without a civil war, which is better than America by a long shot.

People experienced a relatively high standard of living for the time and had little to no internal violence.

China is not free market. Their Gov both controls everything, while not respecting properties of other nations.

The only thing the Chinese do well with capitalism, is making a buck no matter what. That's what causes all these pics. They have no safety standards because that gets in the way of profit.

>But what if there are left over chemical agents in the tomatoes that they used to modify the plant?
Jesus christ man, read a book
>Or in cows, what if there are growth hormones left over in the meat?
I actually think there is something to this. I dont like how livestock are fed massive amounts of antibiotics and hormones. I think this is a legit cause for concern. Then again, we are all free to buy (much more expensive) organically raised livestock. I'd rather have the choice desu than be forced to buy meat from livestock raised in the traditional, organic (and much more expensive) way

Many people believe that free market capitalism is selfish, even immoral.
They say it's about greed, about a hunger for money and power; that it helps the rich and hurts the poor. They're wrong. The free market is not only economically superior, it is morally superior to any other way of organizing economic behavior. Here's why.

The free market calls for voluntary actions between individuals. There's no coercion.
In a free market, if I want something from you, I have to do something for you.

it's the government, not the free market, that creates zero-sum games in our economy. If you use the government to get a food stamp, a farm subsidy or a business bail out, you will benefit -- but at the expense of your fellow citizens. Isn't it more moral to require that people serve their fellow man in order to have a claim on what he produces rather than not serve others and still have a claim?

The America that our Founding Fathers envisioned -- a limited government that has only a few specifically mentioned -- or enumerated -- powers that are listed in Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution. It's this brilliant, limited-government notion that produced the wealthiest nation in history.
In a free market, the ambition and the voluntary effort of citizens, not the government, drives the economy.
That is: people, to the best of their ability, shaping their own destiny.

Sounds pretty moral to me.

Except that prices are generally fixed to most consumers. You don't decide the price. Most businesses do not dabble in deep economic theory. At most, consumers decide how much of a product is in the market, but not how much it costs. Businesses do not know what price people want. It's a very common business practice to put a price on a good before it is made.

Don't you have some magic homeopathy water to tap?

Sorry my shit's all tardy. I'm on my phone and I don't feel like making an effort to write well.

That being said, I agree with you. As an anarcho calitalist we should de-regulate and let consumers poison themselves with whatever they like. I choose to eat wholesomely and abstain from drugs, but it makes me happy to see others nake bad choices because I know my children will have less competition. It's just evolution basically.

the market decides the price tho. Supply vs demand. And consumers are the 'demand'

cognitive dissonance

most efficient way to produce helicopters to toss commie fags like you out of maybe?

The business decides the price. Supply and demand mostly focuses on resources. I work in produce at walmart. I handle what gets thrown out and what doesn't. I deal with supply and demand constantly. Rarely do we change prices. If 100 people are buying bananas, and we have 200 bananas, we just stop ordering the 100 bananas we don't need. We keep the price the same, and save a lot of people.

thanks for calling out the paddle ball hating ballist for me, disgusting.

money not people

You have to realize though, if a product is too expensive, people won't buy it, and the company will inevitably have to lower the price to a more reasonable range. Products can have prices stamped on them before they get off the drawing board simply due to them not being a "new" product, just a competing one.

It's definitely not run 100% by the consumers, but consumers do have a say.

>As an anarcho calitalist we should de-regulate and let consumers poison themselves with whatever they like.
Cant say I'm on board with that. I am a capitalist, but pretty moderate. I think we have the safest, cheapest, most abundant and most diverse food supply in the history of the world because we use a mixture of free market forces AND regulation. Sure, sometimes health problems slip through the cracks, like in I believe, some of the ways we raise livestock. But for the most part, we are doing better than at any time in history here in the Western world with our food supply

You cant charge $5 for a banana tho, because whatever competition you have will undercut your prices. Thats how supply and demand works. If you charge a good price, people buy from you. If you charge a too high price, people wont buy from you because they have alternatives

Well yeah, I don't deny that. But majority of the prices are fixed. Again, if it is too expensive and people aren't buying a lot of the product, most of the time businesses just reduce the amount of that product being sold to prevent costs. Even if they do lower the price, it's just a on arbitrary guess considering that businesses do not know what price people what, and have no way of knowing that the price is too high. It's always safer to just reduce the amount of product being made because you know how much of the product is being sold.

Well yeah, but there are fixed price formulas that is very commonly used in accounting to prevent this. Again, price is decided by the business, and not the customer.
