damn, when the Mosul ship starts sinking and IS rats start fleeing, those positions are going to get hit hard
I trust theyre going to be ready and were gonna get to see a nice turkey shoot
Jose Reed
no problem. apparently the main idea since the operation first started was to capture; al-bab, qabasin, bzaah, tadef and tel-rifaat. cut down the possibilities of YPG connecting cantons. other than tadef and tel-rifaat this happened.
from what i ve read so far, SAA's advance on east to aleppo was predicted and was included in pretty much all of the possible plans as well.
Logan Jenkins
Can the fighting sides take the fight here and blow this shit up
Nathaniel Mitchell
What is ISIS trying to achieve in Mosul anyway? Just inflict casualties on the iraqis and maybe start an insurgency later on?
Tyler Mitchell
wew. these numbers.
they are defending their land, whats wrong with that?
Evan Howard
where is that?

turkish genius or a backdoor agreement?
well both sides got what they wanted, so it doesnt matter that much
next phase is Turks vs USA (Kurds), thats going to be interesting from a diplomatic standpoint.. at least i hope it will be solved diplomatically and that the erdo factor will stay on a leash
id say fight just enough to save face, but conserve as much forces as possible and produce as much propaganda as possible so that their position in post-mosul phase is as strong as it can be

>they are defending their land, whats wrong with that? Then why are turks trying to take kurdish land. Isn't that wrong too?
Luis Campbell
That's probably their idea. Inflict as much casaulties as possible.
ISIS seems to have rebuilded some bases in it's traditionial areas of support
Diyala, Sallahudin, Anbar provinces
These are the usual areas ISIS/AQI/ISI sought refuge when they were defeated in the past.

if that is mosul dam it's in the hands of the good guys, not isis. I am unsure if its kurds or iraqi hands. so no blowing up.
the one near raqqa is still in isis hands.
I doubt anyone will blow them, but who knows, maybe as a final fuck you they will.
if it does go, it's best not to think of the millions who will die. Rather we should focus on the opportunities that rebuilding contracts represent. Why the revenue alone for enginee...

>[Graphic 18+] Rebel offensive goes horribly wrong in southwest Daraa
we are defending our land too, whats national security issues and terrorist heavens? thanks.
supposedly plans were ready from 2015ish, they get updated as stuff happened. surely an agreement is going on, otherwise russians wouldnt allow us in. we probably didnt really ask to USA about it though.
dont think it ll be solved diplomatically
Gavin Ortiz
I read kurds and italian engineers take care of it.

How in the fuck is there a tank there and they're not just running people over and kicking ass?
>Damascus opens up trade route with Kurds in northern Syria
LOL Turks failed miserably. The whole point of the Al-Bab offensive was to stop the Kurds from connecting the Afrin pocket with the rest of the Kurdish held territories. They lost so many men and equipment and accomplished nothing.

Jack Mitchell
yeah he said it today. he had a 3 hour meeting with chief of staff as well yesterday night.
Charles Bennett
Not to shit on your parade here but clearly the Turks expected this
what did you think Turks would go all the way south to Iraq border? they knew that sooner or later the Kurdish areas would INDIRECTLY connect, but with Euprates Shield and Syrian gov inbetween its not comparable to a DIRECT Afrin-Rojava link up

I think theres still some reports like that here and there
it doesnt mean that Syrian gov will allow Kurdish military convoys for example
Syrian gov now have power over whats allowed to pass and probably Turks are satisfied with that, because it wont allow Kurds to create a continuous "(federal) state"
