Does anyone here actually like Canada unironically? It really seems great if youre a stoner with no ambition, but beyond that what is there to enjoy?

The people? The culture? What is good about canada?

nice get my fellow bergoar

Snow?

it's a great place to take a shit

What about a stoner with ambition, making edibles selling stoner glass, making wax, trimming, ,rolling joints for shops, the list goes on. Way better doing that than most shit these days, when i get enough know how, I'm moving up there for that weed business : p

that get deserve an answer

It is a beautiful cuntry with ugly ppl, that is why ppl stay here for the cuntry.

dumb phoneposter

>nice place to go camping no border nonsense
>poutine is really fucking good
>cousin married a hoserish one and he's fun to get drunk with
>Rush
>Norm MacDonald
>hugeass border between two consistently friendly Anglosphere countries
>potential dumping ground for anti-American communist filth

It's OK I guess

Fine digits my southern neighbor.

Just remember, not everywhere in Canada is like Toronto. In fact, I would be quite happy to hear that Toronto had burned to the ground along with everyone in it.

>Does anyone here actually like Canada unironically?

I like the parts outside of the Toronto Multicult Zone.

honestly sounds like a nice comfy place to live as long as you choose the right city/town

i like canada. its like america but without the attitude.

Try again

Shut up pablo i notice you haven't built the wall yet.

>What is good about canada?
Quebec, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

Beautiful nature great skiing etc. , you stupid pleb.

Fuck Canada.

>the culture
Canadians have no unified culture. Different regions and ethnic groups have their own little thing. Nova Scotia is radically different than Vancouver for example.

I can see how to rural areas are nice. The same is true in the south, the cities suck but the country is peaceful

Gr8 b8 m8 btdnt h8

t. Zhang

I used to like Canada and its people ... after Sup Forums this changed.

I mean, you can go skiing in half of america and nature is nature. Atleast here it isnt 20 below 0 when I enjoy it

Fishing, skiing, hunting, fishing, vacation, best damn maple syrup, fishing, nice as lakes for watersports like waterskiing or fishing, did I mention the fishing?

I like Canada.
We need to deal with the Frog problem though.

Check'd

and Yes. Been to Niagara + Toronto a few times. Both were more pleasant than many places I've stayed within the US.

Im worried Sup Forums may be poisoning my opinion, but I cant imagine why youd want to live in canada over america, unless youre virtue signalling to the world "im not le americunt"

Witnessed

the people are spineless and gutless, the government is a liberally pretentious puppet even at the most conservative of times.

But I like the clay.

The warm weather...

>why youd want to live in canada over america
Free healthcare, weed, prefer the people, scenery, snow, less niggers?

I was on a google maps quest today and noticed this place called Buffalo Wood.

Looks pretty cool.

>t. Zhang
But that's actually the way Canada is, there really isn't a unified Canadian culture desu. We're a very divided nation in terms of culture and this isn't referring to race either. The provinces are effectively their own countries with their own histories and traditions.

Part of the reason why there's a lack of nationalism in Canada is because the people from the different parts of Canada all have radically different views of what Canada should be. Compare prairie rancher cowboy culture to maritime celtic fisherman culture for example.

Or compare anglo canadian culture to french canadian culture to celtic canadian culture.

you country has a huge nigger problem mine doesnt.. Sure we have abos but outside of Winnipeg they either work or rot on reserves

Bland people, bland country.

"Free healthcare"

Id rather use the money I earned to pay for a doctor now, than to sit on a waiting list and die like a pleb. Not looking for hand outs.

>My ID sounds like some kind of Trap DJ....

lel you have no idea on what you're missing out on

This is true but is canada not headed towards the same fate? It feels like america is waking up to this while canada is slowly falling asleep

And speaking legally, our States are technically independent countries as well and culture varies tremendously even though for the most part we're bros at the end of the day.

I just thought it was funny somebody from Hongcouver would be pushing that line.

i just think that its weird that he wants US to pay for HIS wall. mexico is a shitty 3rd world country and trump should leave us alone!

Someone to take care of me because im inept? Im all for personal accountability, not hand holding

Nice numbers you got there sir.

I've been living in Canada for about 10 years now. If you are willing to stay away from the central hubs and big cities there is a ton of opportunity to start and grow small businesses. Most of the provinces have good training programs for tradesmen to the point where a lot of companies send mechanics, millwrights, instrumentation technicians and other tradesmen from Canada to work on contracts in Russia, China, many South American countries or even USA because they don't have enough skilled people.

Leave you alone? All we're doing is trying to keep your dregs from not leaving us alone.

Good fences make good neighbors. He's just using fancyspeak for saying we can put it up at basically negative cost by rearranging the trade deals to work out better for everybody.

You get taxed the exact same as we do, pretty much, and yet still have to pay hundreds in medical insurance or thousands in care.
I get it free, and if I need it urgently (as in, scan tomorrow), I get to pay £25 for an MRI and get the results instantly.
You don't get that.
There's a reason no country has ever gone for free healthcare (through taxes) and then decided it wouldn't work.

i want to move to canada and go to trade school

Everyone alive in my family were born in Canada (all of my great grandparents and some of my great great grandparents were too) so for the most part this is what I've always known. My girlfriend's family are all American though and they are all very patriotic towards America. I've been to America a few times and I can completely see why someone would love it but I really like the small town feeling Canada can give off. If I went out onto the street right now and asked any random stranger for help I can almost be guaranteed they would say yes, also if I went down the street and tried to open every door on my street I know most of them would be unlocked.

Alaska is what Canada dreams to be. Snow, guns, legal weed, yearly government checks etc

>It really seems great if youre a stoner with no ambition

If you think it's hard to make it in the US, then try to come to Canada.

>housing is much more expensive with few exceptions
>cost of living, especially groceries is much higher, we're price gouged on most everything
>higher taxes
>lack of public transit in almost every city means you need a vehicle, all of which rust to nothing in a decade's time
>lower incomes
>less manufacturing and trades jobs open for people to enter the middle class

i understand. i hate chicanos and pochos and all that scum. i guess trump's going to do what he has to do.

>canada is slowly falling asleep
It's waking up with Bernier. Trudeau's approval ratings are pretty low.

The the USA is almost exclusively Anglo and very similar in culture, and all of the states have a long history of working together.

Canada's a hodgepodge of Anglos, Celts (Scottish, Irish, Welsh, celtic Anglos), Francos, Natives, and Eskimos. The culture and the people can be so radically different in parts of the country from one another that you wouldn't be blamed for mistaking Newfoundland as a different country from say Alberta, or Quebec as a different country than the rest of Canada.

Nationalism is pretty fucked up in Canada because the culture's so radically different wherever you go that all of the "nationalists" are actually provincialists who assume their province's culture is representative of the rest of Canada. That's why there's always talks of separatist movements in parts of the countries and why east-coast Canadian nationalists argue with prairie Canadian nationalists all the time.

4 in 10 leafs own guns legally desu, that number's projected to be 6 in 10 if you include illegal gun ownership though.

We do now because of obamacare, but I shouldnt have to pay for your fat ass when you need a triple bypass.

I have glorious genes and dont get sick so why should I have to pay for you?

parts of the country***

i like corner gas and i wish i live in saskachewan tbqh

Because it won't stay that way forever?

yankee is correct ;.;

I should have clarified. A stoner with no ambition and plenty of daddies money.

We had more guns than people in my house. Most people I know did.

But I actually plan ahead and save cash for when im old? Why should I pay for those that cant plan ahead?

We saved your ass on 9/11.

Sounds about the same as here. Is it Texit? Is it Calexit? Is it a state called Jefferson? Does Colorado hate the stoner influx? Does the South still think the Yanks are annoying pricks? Was it rural and suburban retards who voted for Trump?

Just because we're more cohesive when it comes to the MURICA FUCK YEAH doesn't mean a place this big doesn't have radically different culture among states.

I'm an American in Canada, I'll say for certain this is a barren and lonely world. I mean, I've been browsing Sup Forums since I moved here. Never did before. It's mostly good for vacations to national parks and skiing, but I wouldn't move here if I were you or anyone in Europe

I don't think you understand my southern friend.

We have ample dumb fucks as it is, thanks. Stay where you are.

In their own words, nothing. But pre-PE Trudeau they were bros.

Shit, you had to top us and elect someone stupider than George W Bush with Trudy.

Canada, always coming in second in North America. Hey, at least you guys aren't Mexicans amirite?

>Sure we have abos but outside of Winnipeg they either work or rot on reserves

Winnipeg, though, Jesus:

youtube.com/watch?v=T2o2a27lnGQ

That's because that although America's big and each state has its own customs, each state also has the same core American values as every other state desu. Canada doesn't. Canadian provinces don't have unifying values that tie all of them together. The reason why Canada exists as it does today is largely because Britain was afraid of American expansionism so they grabbed up more land.

Canada's not really as stable as it looks. There's a running joke in any province that isn't Quebec, Ontario, Alberta or British Columbia that we're completely different countries since our prime ministers completely ignore any province that aren't these four.

Stop trying to ruin our great country with your false thinking.

>housing is much more expensive with few exceptions
Yes but if you don't live in a big city then it's basically the same as America's
>cost of living, especially groceries is much higher, we're price gouged on most everything
Yes this is true but you give and take some things would you rather have some free healthcare or more expensive groceries
lack of public transit in almost every city means you need a vehicle, all of which rust to nothing in a decade's time
lol wtf are you talking about unless you live in the middle of fucking no where then public transport is fine
>lower incomes
No proof
>less manufacturing and trades jobs open for people to enter the middle class
Go to fucking Mexico then

Dont understand what? My buddy was waiting for surgery on his shoulder for a year before moving to america and getting it done here.

Universal healthcare devolves into rationing

To be fair to canada it's beautiful... But literally have 0 respect for the canadian government.. They are cucked beyond repair... Gun rights are shit, free speech is shit, and rampant immigration, just sad desu... Canada is the Sweden of the western hemisphere with fewer muslims... for now

How has no one mentioned Canada's greatest contribution to mankind?

Canada isn't as bad as you guys make it out to be. From what I can tell it seems like America only the average citizen is a bit more liberal and on average it's a bit colder. If I had to leave the US and could move to any country it'd be either Canada or the UK. Oh and be nicer to Canadian posters. They get way more shit on Sup Forums than they deserve.

i like canada

Serious answer:

Canada is only great outside of urban areas. Maybe I'm just an "outdoorsy" kind of guy, but we have some amazing places to hike, see scenic beauty and nature at its finest.

Last year, I got to truly experience Canada for the first time (outside of Ontario and Quebec.) Where we took a road trip out west. Saw polar bears in Manitoba, hiked the Rocky Mountains (Canmore and Banff (Banff is a shithole)) chill at Lake Louise/Jasper, hiked all around Vancouver Island and saw endless killer whales breach after feeding.

I realize you can see this in a lot of other countries, so I guess this is biased, but we have a lot more land mass and less integrated populous areas.

In the more urban areas, our citizens are complete and utter shitbags, especially in Ontario, Quebec and B.C. Some of the rudest people you've ever met, very intolerant liberals who hate white conservatives and actually wish death on you and your family. A lot of people just hope their parents die so they can collect. And hivemind like crazy.

I did find the people in Alberta (specifically Calgary) to be very nice and helpful, even when I lost my phone a few times, it was promptly returned to me and each person declined money I offered as a "finders fee" (none of them were white.)

Haven't checked out the east coast yet, but I heard they are very hospitable, and it's beautiful out there - but they're also super lazy and have zero ambition.

wac ass nigga

Would rather be held accountable for my own healthcare and have cheaper good and services. Seems like a win win for responsible people

You didnt refute any of his points except potentially the income one, which is why many canadians move here (since they cant find work)

Road trips are redpilled. Anybody who doesn't take advantage of the seemingly endless vastness and variety of natural wonders available at no little to no cost in NA is missing out.

Banff confirmed for shithole. Canmore is the shit however and Jasper is better than Banff.

Also Vancouver island is awesome

Im fairly outdoorsy myself and would love to visit, but beyond nature it seems kind of meh.

I was primarily interested in what its like to be canadian in a city living with other canadians. Rural areas are nice no matter what as long as it isnt a desert or uninhabitable

Ahhhh the eternal leaf question again, a more difficult issue than the Jewish question. nuke leafland now

>as long as it isnt a desert or uninhabitable
dude the Desert West is frickin amazing. Try the salt flats for an underrated uninhabitable zone to see on your trip from one place to another.

>but they're also super lazy and have zero ambition.
East Coasters aren't lazy, it's just that there aren't any jobs out here. Atlanticfags were really productive when there was an industry, but now that there's no industry, they satisfy their urge to work through recreation and hobbies that require physical labor. You'll meet a lot of unemployed people on the east coast on welfare that still fish, hike, and have hobbies that require work.

>zero ambition
This is pretty true, but that's largely because east coast canadians are extremely traditional. They don't really dream big, most are content on running the shitty family super market their grandfather opened 50 years ago, or fishing solely because their great great grandfather did it.

>What is good about canada?

Tu connais déja la réponse, Bubba Dean...le Québec est la seul chose grandiose au Canada...

What problem? It's so minimal that it's non existent and few people in Quebec want independence now.

yuck

not that frog slag again

>I like Canada.
>We need to deal with the Frog problem though.

Quoi, tu n'es pas mort dans une attaque de Pakis sur ton quartier, Nigel?

youtu.be/qokQqkoYpDA

Yeah but that's the same sort of stuff that keep New England comfy. It's just nothing and old people and poverty and history decaying back into the earth before your eyes, but at the same time a bastion of traditionalism and an escape from from all the craziness.

canada is actually quite based with the welfare system, you actually have to work. Large parts of Canada still have white culture.

>the USA is almost exclusively Anglo and very similar in culture, and all of the states have a long history of working together.

L'éducation anglo Canadienne...

My thoughts exactly.

I think I just liked Canmore because it was a smaller community and way less tourism than Banff. The hiking trails were about the same (though we made our own.)

Many Australians come here for our summers just to visit our vast lands of nature (most get working VISAs to prolong their stay/have extra cash) But to do anything else... who the fuck cares.

Going to cottages here are amazing, as well. Muskoka, Ontario area. Cheap to rent for the most part, most are pretty spacious with nice land and right on a lake.

Being a Canadian in Canada though, you don't exactly have free speech here. So you pretty much have to conform to the rest of society's thoughts.

You're correct on that part. East coast Canada, especially Newfoundland is an extremely stagnant place. Most towns unironically look the exact same today as they did in the 40s, 30s, and even 20s. I remember seeing really old black and white documentaries from the 20s of local towns here and they look the exact same, roads are the same. Even the families living in the houses have the same surnames as the families living in those houses now.

It's a really stagnant place but it's a comfy place too.

That's quickly being changed though, with that cuck trudeau.

I would vote for Quebec to separate.

It wasn't really meant as an insult, per se. It's just their way of life, like you said. They don't "dream big" like us in Ontario, which is very grandiose and pretentious.

Quickly eluding our country. And welfare runs quite rampant here.

Canada>>America.

America is a third world shithole compared to Canada.
