The other side of this wall is Mexico. The body of water is the pacific ocean. The wall extends out a few hundred feet. Whats to stop someone from swimming across to the US?

Drones and armed border patrol.

The same thing stopping them from using ladders anywhere else along the border.

...

I don't even think Trump wants wall crossers to be shot.

Coast Guard, use google faggot

Well then they'd get all wet. I don't see any towels hanging on the opposite side.

Duh.

Why don't we build a guard post there?

Nothing, Trump has been BTFO.

Oh, if only there was a group of people guarding the coast - a "coast guard", if you will.

Knowing how to swim.

It's called Area Denial. Yes some dumbfucks will swim. But 95% of them wont. And if they could afford to get a boat, why not just come here legally with a plane ticket and over stay the visa.

ITT we design Trump Wall

>The wall is not guarded

We can trust Soviet engineering when it come to walls.

I haven't been there for a while but IIRC san diego has a pretty nasty riptide and if you're not a strong swimmer there's a decent risk you'll get pulled under or pulled out to sea.

also i mean, if you were going to have a guard anywhere, putting him in front of the hole in the wall makes sense. for reasons of modern liability, you essentially need police presense there anyway.

Ohhhhkay. So we might as well tear down our walls everywhere because there is one soft spot where people can theoretically cross.

What's to stop the border patrol from having speed boats patrolling that area?

You think there is no such thing as drones and satellites that can use infrared to spot these people?

DOOH!

>but they can just swim around it

No, they can't, you silly cunt.

If the mexicans try to circumvent the wall by swimming around it at the ends, then that means they are being funneled into chokepoints that will literally be swarming with coast guards, security cameras, drones, planes, mine fields, sensors, etc.

Even before he sets foot in the water, Pablo will have the entire coast guard jetskiing up his asshole so fast and so hard that he won't even have time to yell out "¡Ay Caramba, Señor Trump es un pendejo!"'

Do you really think Trump was so stupid that he didn't even bother to think this through?

A toddler knows how chokepoints work. And that's exactly what the wall was also intended to do:

Create chokepoints in traps where the spics would show up.

If you're a poor Mexican living south of Arizona, traveling all the way to the Pacific instead of ten feet from your shack to a fence with thousands of holes cut in it and a government that looks the other way, it's going to up the difficulty significantly.

Which is harder?

Crossing a border or swimming across the pacific ocean? Still less people are going to attempt the latter. Much less people.

>what are choke points

Bait thread, sage.

>what's stopping them

All the white people waiting on the other side to call them wetbacks.

>Jose swims a couple of hundred feet
>drones, boats, helicopters, satellites spring into action

Ok

>What's stopping them

All the white people on the other side waiting to call them wetbacks.

look at a map. look at this map.

See that massive land on the border?
now look at the corners. How far do you expect someone to swim from and to? the answer is not far. It is FAR easier to patrol two small areas compared to a massive piece of land and people will be far less willing.

Harder with more risks = far less illegal aliens in our country.

Literal proof of how dumb pantshitter border policy is.
Real Americans should help bring Mexicans over by boat, by plane, by stowaway shipping. We need an underground railroad for immigrants.

No one is illegal.

>Whats to stop someone from swimming across to the US?
The nuclear mines duh

what if they kayak out far and then come back in

It's the most cost efficient deterrent though

nice

You have to be able to swim first

The American side of that little fence is a military base.

Not, like, in a hypothetical future. It is, right now.
