Its his right. Not everyone can handle the emotional baggage of someone who has been through trauma like that. It would be different if they were dating for years, planning to get married and have kids. Its obvious this guy was just looking for a girlfriend to enjoy life with for a while but nothing serious (looks like she wasn't looking for anything serious either).

Its easy to brush him off as an asshole but you can't know unless you were there. I dated a girl for 2 months. I didn't realize all of the traumatic shit she had been through. She even tried to commit suicide a week into our relationship. I stayed with her because I felt the "good guy" in me could overcome that and help her. Its heavy shit you should never put yourself through unless its with someone you are VERY close to. It becomes traumatic for yourself if you are around it long enough.

he probably knows she's prone to lying and believes she made it up and wasn't actually raped. There are so many false rape claims these days. I wouldn't chance it either.
