Excuse me

excuse me.

As a poor person who makes under 25k a year. Explain to me again why I shouldn't vote for the party who actually cares about the poor?

How do lower taxes on the wealthy and corporations help me?

thanks

What has your party really done for the poor in past 20 years? Dodd-Frank and welfare reform. The rest has been widespread surveillance and targeted drone strikes.

vote third party

If they really cared about the poor, they'd be doing everything possible to prevent more poor people from coming here and lowering the effectiveness of programs designed to help you.

>How do lower taxes on the wealthy and corporations help me?

Incentive for businesses to operate in your country due to lower taxes, which in turn creates jobs.

Also, the corps may feel they have some money to spare to pay you better. The expense of these taxes just gets passed down to you as much as it can. Tax them more, it won't help you get paid any better.

Red-pill of the Day:

No one cares about the poor. No one.

Go up, thread.

Voting democratic only works when your spending stays the same.
Voting republican only works when you spend more.

>dems caring about poor

They care about poor non-whites and non-citizens, not you guy. There's no party for poor white people right now, but at least post-Trump repubs actually pay lip service to poor whites if not actually help them

Because you shouldn't be a selfish prick who doesn't care about his people past, present, and future.

If you really care about what's best for you, get a better job and stop being such a fucking loser. Don't take from other people at the expense of all your ancestors fought and died for, the livelihood of future generations to come, and the people who still give a shit about them.

The "War on Poverty" has cost nearly five trillion dollars and poverty has increased when prior to this effort, it was in precipitous decline.

How can they say they "care about the poor" when their actions harm the poor? Do actions not matter more than words?

>Explain to me again why I shouldn't vote for the party who actually cares about the poor?

First, the Dems only see the poor and minorities as pawns to get them into power.

Second, you'd be promoting an increasing welfare state instead of getting the govt. out of your life.

Third, you should look at the larger effects of their policies instead of just your own -- since they could culminate in affecting you negatively.

If you're making over 15k a year but under 25k, Trump's tax plan actually includes taking away your tax burden entirely. He wants to double the non-itemizing deduction, from 15k up to 30k.

As for "lower taxes on the wealthy and corporations", he wants lower RATES for them, but also wants to close loopholes and discourage tax havens so that these lower rates are ACTUALLY PAID, instead of just having mindlessly high rates to feel good about "taxing the rich" while their money fucks off to tax havens like the Isle of Man

>complicated tax codes that lawyers & accountants can wiggle businesses out of paying taxes is good for poor people

>How do lower taxes on the wealthy and corporations help me?

It doesn't
Americans just got tricked by the rich into thinking the rich are oppressed by higher taxes and regulation is bad

They don't care about the poor. They're farming you for votes. Also... there are things you can do to improve your financial situation, and there are more important things to consider in an election (like national sovereignty, critical supreme-court vacancies, the right to bear arms, repudiation of identity politics, corruption in politics).

All of these things are 100x more important than your electric bill.

There is no party that cares about you
no party cares about the poor
they only care about whether you can be conned into voting for their party
after the election, the winner isn't required to follow up on their promises, so vote for someone principled instead

As a poor person it would be in your best interest to educate yourself on the basics of economy and politics, so that you can understand you are getting fucked in a long run.

This is the hottest new meme

Where can I see more of this hot new meme?

Higher taxes on the rich's profits are taken out of your salary.
Lower taxes and regulations for everyone means it's easier for you to start your own gig, it's easier to make business and earn a decent living.

Try setting up your own business in an over regulated over taxed environment, believe me, it's almost impossible.

OP, can you give some background on age, upbringing, interests, education, and anything else that's relevant?

You pose a good question, and it would be interesting to see why/how you got into a situation that made you curious about this.

They only care about you to use your vote. Their best interest is to make sure to keep you poor while giving you the illusion that they're the good guys who actually care about your worthless ass.

Yep. Just listened to an NPR piece about a payday loan chain owner who didn't want his daughter to know the shabby way he generated money so he came to Jesus and tried to let lawmakers know about how exploitative it all is. No-one was interested. He came to that same conclusion: no-one really cares about the poor. The show was on Snap Judgment fwiw.

>the party who actually cares about the poor?
The Libertarians. Yes, you should.

>how do lower taxes on the wealthy and corporations help me?
Expands the job market.

But more importantly, how do high taxes on the wealthy and corporations help you? They don't. Because the entire federal budget is a loan taken out from the Federal Reserve (a group of private bankers) and paid back with interest using tax dollars.

In other words, you imagine taxes as being the government taking money away from an imaginary class of evil rich people and giving it to you. Actually it's the opposite. The entire finance system of the United States revolves around taking money away from everyone and giving it to a small clique of bankers. This is why it doesn't matter if you set a progressive tax or a flat tax or high Obama taxes or low Bush taxes, the gap between the rich and poor keeps getting bigger--it's because a clique of bankers successfully rigged the system, and all of these leftist retards who THINK that they're striking a blow against "Porky" are quite literally, objectively, unarguably funneling trillions of dollars into the hands of said bankers.
