>Innercity desegregation bussing.

It kinda sucked if you lived in a liberal state where they were trying to make it up to Tyrone and Shaniqua by fucking the kids in the suburbs.

>over an hour to school each morning, pass the elementary school by my neighborhood 5 minutes after leaving the stop by my house.

What about the LA riots?

>race relations were stable

Uh, you sure about that? Rodney King, for one thing, but yeah, I get the sense you don't remember much. I think you just want to go back to a simpler time when you had no responsibilities and weren't paying attention to anything more complicated or real world than Doug.

>Rodney king
>80s

lmao @ ur life you fucking moron

Bump

the 90s were looking up and were the last decade where white music was dominant. the 2000s saw rap and hip hop weasel its way into white minds and the economy stalled and then slammed into the wall in 2008. Nothing's been okay since then, and while there is still some great music being made, it isn't the same as it used to be. We used to have songs like "man in the box" by alice in chains hit the top of the charts, and now it's all trash like "happy" by pherell. Absolutely no more good music makes it to the top of the charts. The 90s were the last of that, and I weep for that every day. The red hot chili peppers were a big deal in the 90s, now it's Drake. That's like trading a 5-course prix fixe meal for a bag of jolly ranchers.

Based as fuck

Graduated in 1994, every person in my class listened to hip-hop and rap constantly. I think that ship sailed as early as the late '70s/early '80s. Don't forget that the majority of the "oldies" were niggers whining in to a microphone in the '60s.

The 90's was the last decade the USA was actually white. The 54% white number we have today is just to keep white people from revolting

Pretty much.

Now 90s kids can stare at kardashians and shit on TV and ignore what it happening to the world around them. I think it's the last generation that is so easily placated by mindless entertainment though. The internet is too interactive for mindless brainwashing. You have to choose it now.

Nope.

The eighties where going to be godly, then AIDS happened. Waste of a golden generation

Sup Forums was much better in the 90s
After 9/11 the shitposting spun out of control

>no SJWs
You were a kid you don't remember.

>What about the LA riots?
That just gave us the Rodney King card game. It's easy to play 4 clubs beat a spade.

>Sup Forums was much better in the 90s
You mean CB radio?

It wasn't until 2008 when shit really started to tumble
>Recession
>Smartphones
>Social media boom
>SJW culture
>Obama elected

2008-2016 felt like some kind of warped reality when compared to previous years
Trump getting elected and the left eating itself out is starting to turn things around

Hey fellow oldfag :^)

However,

>>race relations were stable
LA Riots, the OJ trial, many of the cities that are now gentrified were literal warzones, gangster rappers killing each other
>No SJWs
The 90s were the golden age of PC, I remember when people would say things like "height challenged individual" unironically

91 you massive faggot, which is smack in OP's timeframe. We're gonna need another wall.

>Remember the media in the late 90's actually talking about how race relations were so good that America was beginning to become a "post-racial" society.
Holy FUCK things have gotten bad in that respect.

>the last decade where white music was dominant
The 90s was the era of the wigger. You missed the boat on that one.

The leaf is scum but you should stop talking like a faggot.

Honestly there were kind of two different strides in the 90's. Alternative rock in various forms dominated the early-mid 90's while late 90's pop was still predominantly white bands. There was the wigger hip hop culture too but it wasn't the only thing or even ever really dominant compared to the other stuff. It took until the 2000's for that to completely overtake things.

>most based movies

haha, nah
fedora here - the best decades for moves was from 1930 - 1954

the 30s and 40s were really something magical
i would seriously wife betti davis' rotting corpse

Except Drake is actually kinda good.
Moody and emo self-wankery, but better than that degenerate gangsta rap shit

>Early 2000s kids are now 24

How fucked are they?

>i would seriously wife betti davis' rotting corpse

Gross. She didn't even die young. It's pretty sad that you think a young girl is so physically attractive in old movies that you want to bang an old woman's corpse. "Yeah, but she used to be hot" isn't even a good reason to fuck an old hag, let alone a dead old hag.

>wow, dudes, wasn't the globalist 90s so tubular and radical?

The online world existed back then, though in a more primitive form.

>Graduated 1987
>Star Trek the Next Generation came out same year I graduated HS.
>TV shows like Magnum PI, The A-Team, Miami Vice were very popular.
>Masculine movies like Rambo, Predator, etc were common.
>Lots of great rock bands were played on lots of music stations.
>My girlfriend (at the time) had posters of RATT, Winger (she LOVED Kip Winger), Poison and Warrant.

This was her favorite song.
youtube.com/watch?v=1knO1Ip9oEg
>Most of the girls I knew loved Rock.
>I went with a bunch of friends to go see Iron Maiden. Had a great time. Lots of women in the crowd.
>Went to the beach a lot. Was easy to go up and talk with other people (both male and female).
>People were much more friendly and open. You would talk with people and they would look at you and have a nice conversation. Unlike today when people are nose deep in their smart phone and don't listen to a word you say.
>Nobody cared what you said or did. There was no "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT" and "I AM OFFENDED" bullshit.
>Girls were feminine. I remember my girlfriend would always cause me to be late for everything because she would change her outfit and make up a ton of times to "get it right".
>Best part of all was that there were almost NO helicopter moms. You heard about cases of weird moms being over-protective but that was rare. You went out with friends and came home (usually a little late from curfew) with no big deal. No phone calls, text messages "where are you?" from people all the time.
>First job at 14 was pulling weeds. I went down to City Hall where they had a job board. I would mow lawns, pull weeds and do a bunch of manual labor for pocket money.
>Worked at McDonald's from 16 till I graduated high school. Everyone I worked with (except the managers) were white school kids like me.
>It was fun and looking back now a rather innocent time.

Pic - Ronald and Nancy Reagan with Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas from Miami Vice

Blacks were mostly contained to the inner city. Now they're in the suburbs shitting up everything.

Dial up BBSs were great.

For me the 90's and early 00's were the last years where rock was mainstream.
After that everything went to hell, and everything that the radio plays nowadays is shitty bubblegum pop and nigger babbling.

Why the jews killed rock?
What is their plan?

Multiculturalism destroys social cohesion. Move to Idaho or eastern Washington to go back in time... well, except with more meth now.

Short people got no reason to live...

keep telling yourself that

its not just her looks
she is someone i can really connect with

ever meet that right girl? you get a feeling inside, like she is meant for you.
when i look into her eyes, i can feel her inside of me. i just know she is there, completing me

she also has cute feet

Best door game ever was called Cripple Smash. Couldn't get away with anything like that now.

1993 here
I think about offing myself almost every day.

Those were the decades they planted the seeds of globalism. Got everyone high off of Disney movies and Smash Mouth while they started flooding the country with foreign vermin.

>back when riots were a noteworthy thing

Race is getting pretty irrelevant up in the cold north.
Most people just dont give a fuck. Libs just keep painting a bad picture for more gibs

late 90s Sup Forums was best Sup Forums

so many Al Gore memes

the mid to late 70's were breddy gud

1997 here i wish i was 20 in the 80s it seem like a good time

...

I love this meme desu

The 70's were extremely crime-ridden, had a poor economy, drugs were everywhere, and race relations had completely collapsed to a point that's arguably even worse than now. It was easily the worst decade of the second half of the 20th century in the US.

You didn't experience the 70's then.

born in 89
this post just kicked my depression into overdrive

>tfw will never, EVER relive 1999

God, I miss it so. It was a great year through and through.

The 80s were like the 60s, in that it was an absolutely fantastic time to be a certain kind of American. Everybody wasn't having a great time, but some people really were.

Agreed. Back then you had no choice but to watch Jew propaganda everywhere. Either or don't watch TV/Movies at all. Now people pick their propaganda, and things are changing.

pretty similar to my childhood, I graduated in 1996, really was one of the last of gen X (born in 78).

>grew up in the 80's, remember parents crying when the Berlin wall came down, they were so happy.
>remember based Milton Friedman educating all the lefties why communism sucked
>remember the post soviet invasion with all those east block refugies flooding the states in the early 90s
>cut lawns for $$
>no one in high school had a cell phone, a couple of posers had pagers
>memorized all my friends phone numbers (and called them on landlines!)
>no real race issues, went to pretty diverse middle and high school, no real "nigger" issues, everyone got along
>no "multiculturalism" cancer, learn about Washington and Lincoln and Columbus like they're heroes
>would spend large portions of social study class having intelligent debates about politics without any hurt feelings or PTA meetings
>never hear anyone brag about being a victim or how they helped a victim.
>girls were girls. Guys were guys. Girls would try to look pretty before dates, guys would learn how to dance so they could impress their dates during school dances.

I almost don't recognize kids these days. and the multiculturalism is such a cancer to good relations and honest conversations I can't imagine how fucked up this makes kids these days.

Found that exact viewpoint on Google street view
Things really changed

>arguably

Multiple afrocentric marxist terrorist organizations bombing politicians is a little worse than BLM

YOUR LIFE SOUNDED SO GOOD I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE

Where did it all go so wrong.

NYC in general's really improved. Yeah it's still kind of shitty but compared to the 70's it's a fucking paradise.

Yeah, I didn't feel like arguing in case someone tried to act like what's going on nowadays was comparable, but really it's pretty fucking hard to beat the 70's.

sourceforge.net/projects/cripple-smash/

Do you remember a BBS named Bloodbath?

Well it sure has everything to do with this thread...

80s were the greatest decade humanity has ever known. 90s were pretty good too.

>muh rodney king
No one really cared outside of one leftist shithole city, all it did was create a legacy of endless "CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG" jokes.

youtube.com/watch?v=RYbe-35_BaA

Didn't they make a movie or something about a scenario where crime in NYC got so bad they literally built a giant wall around it?

Escape from NY?

Motherfucker you better just be pretending to only be vaguely aware of John Carpenter's work.

>Can Sup Forums agree that the 80s and mid 90s were the most based

>i wasnt depressed and 29 and wanting to dissepear from realitty

i agree

'94 here, it's alright. I wish I were in my 20s during the 90's though. Looks like it was a more fun time.

Escape from New York man, it was made based on rising crime rates in the city and some politicians actually suggesting that they wall off parts of it to contain the crime. Also worth noting that the 70's were one of the only decades in the history of NYC where it lost population, and nearly 11% at that. People were hi-tailing it out of there.

>Where did it all go so wrong.

I think the seeds were planted in the 90's. In the 90's there was this push for a Laissez-faire approach to human relations; it was sort of like the 60's hippies only much more mellow and care free. Everyone was wealthy or at least comfortable for the most part, the country was going well and we had an affable pervert in the white house with a taste for trailer trash.

Into this environment of "post racialism" (yes we felt the racial problems of the 60-80s was over) was introduced the concept of "racial" pride. It seemed innocuous, you know being proud of your roots? and in the laissez-faire atmosphere of the 90s people just shrugged and let it slide, never really thinking much about it.

and well like what always happens when liberalism is left unchecked, it warps and becomes a tool of oppression. We used to joke in the 90s about political correctness being NEWSPEAK from 1984. of course there was political correctness then too, but it wasn't anything anyone took seriously, and in the atmosphere of "live and let live" or "anything goes" it took root without opposition and grew into a monster mating with multiculturalism and "racial pride" to lead us to this horrible "tribalism".

tell me why trump is good and obama was bad.

Bump

Ones a nigger and the other isn't

It's not hard.

Things were pretty great
youtube.com/watch?v=idg8TNknvDU

>he 2000s saw rap and hip hop weasel its way into white minds
Rap is alpha music though. It's all about being a man, not letting people fuck with you, and grabbing life by the pussy. The most alpha white guys I knew back then, I'm talking cops and shit, all listened to rap or metal, not the weak spineless leftie faggots who became today's SJWs. Those types all listened to Spice Girls and Creed and shit.

Nick studios is no more

>WHAT HAPPENED POL =(

youtube.com/watch?v=3KH27pXa-F4&spfreload=10

OP, 80's and 90's were indeed the best, I was born in 78.

>tfw youll never visit rundown, scary NYC

feels bad man.

I thought the 2000's was a decent decade for the most part.

>twin towers

DELET

kek, I went to the slime thing at the Universal Studio's it was filmed but don't think it was on TV.

Beginning of the end of culture but I agree they were pretty fun times. I miss the social aspects of it. Its strange I watched these bbc series about life in various soviet states and the one thing that people always said was that looking back they missed the social interactions. Thats how it was in the 80s and 90s before the web.

i really miss it when everyone got along and could laugh together. watching rugrats atm. when did everything get so complicated??

youtube.com/watch?v=BSDg2oSazNc&spfreload=10

Universal uses that building for Blue Man Group shows nowadays.

Fuck no, that era was plenty degenerate. All the groundwork for today's problems was right there. The plan just wasn't as far ahead.

Late 90s early 00s were awesome. Link in park, lil Wayne. Metal gear solid, halo. Napster Morpheus. And before all this there was no internet except short dialup. Went outside fucking gamed the community got into fights played hockey fucked with girls. As soon as dsl and multiplayer online gaming came out I didn't go outside for an entire year lol.

Information overload. Now the plebs know too much and eventually we will have to overthrow the (((people in control fucking us over)))

>dan (load the van) schneider

>IM IN PRISON BUT I AINT CARE MAN THUG LIFEEE

>watching rugrats atm. when did everything get so complicated??

You mean that show that includes:
*Strong independent blonde that treats her man like shit.
*Goy that married an ugly Jewish redhead.
*Beta ginger and his beta son.
*Bulldyke with feminist shirt that dominates her weak husband.
*Virtuous negro girl as counterpoint to evil blonde girl.

I'm probably forgetting more than I remember.

>race relations
It has almost always sucked. The 80s and 90s is when mexicans flooded in a lot.

The 00s were pretty good also.

>flag

shut the fuck up you know nothing. most liberal fucks probably listen to lil uzi vert and young thug unironically because they're "so innovative"

>>Strong economy
two recessions
>race relations were stable
Rodney King, LA riots, several others, gangsta rap is born "FUCK DA POLEES"
>No SJWs
SJWs have existed since the Russian revolution, and double in size and strength every generation. 'My So-Called Life' was the 90's, everyone was a fucking SJW, you just dont remember it because you were a baby playing vidya.
>>Friendlier society
There was never a "friendly society" in my lifetime, you're fucking delusional.
>Most based movies, video games, and music
This is just nostalgia for your own childhood.

Remember when cars looked nice?

Oh wow really deep insightful post, I'm so convinced. Come back when your pubes grow in and we can try this discussion again.
