Sociology

Im going to be doing Sociology (more a criminology and legal course, but its sociology in a new name) degree in August Sup Forums

I dont know why Ive been attracted to the most bluepill course that exists, but I feel a need to infiltrate the enemy.

Have any other anons gone through this? Did you redpill your class, did you get more bluepill? Im excited and worried all at the same time.

>the most bluepill course that exists
Nigger, if you do it PROPERLY (i.e. without ignoring the facts you don't like) sociology is redpilled as fuck: it shows you how society actually works.

I did one sociology course to fulfill a degree requirement and it was pure intense far-left propaganda. Why the fuck would you go into such this discipline

I like to think Im pretty objective, Im interested for the reason you stated.

Maybe I just like being bombarded by the Jew. Its so opposing to my beliefs it attracts me.

I'm pretty sure Nathan Damigo from Identity Europa is majoring in Sociology. Ask him for some advice.

Dont man, really. The professors dont know shit, all they do is defend marxism, criminals, refugees, etc. You are not going to learn how to fix society, all they do is blame the rich/whites/males etc. You will also learn that gender is a social construct and other shit like that, not to mention most of the students are cucks and feminists. And after you finish your job options are limited and low paying. Honestly do not major in sociology, its not worth it.

I should explain, the course is actually a course in criminology and legal services.

Its basically a precursor to police or prison guard work.

Just some of the modules are clearly sociology.

Regardless of what the teachers tell me, if I get a degree, becoming a non-grunt officer would be easier for me.

>tfw cant wait to arrest degenerates

In reality you are going to be arresting white males, and escorting Pakistani pimps down to the welfare office to pick up a new British preteen. Then you'll arrest an unemployed white guy who just wants a future. Then you'll let some nigger teenagers go after you catch them drug-raping some British chick. I know, because that's what all of you British "police" types do.

Structural functionalism is the only way

Not trying to be some NatSoc larping fag, but I'll probably be fired for killing some lebanese family.
Thank fuck psyche tests are easy to cheat

DON'T LET THE BLOODY SOCIAL """"SCIENTISTS"""" USE AWFUL TERRIBLE METHODS AND LIE TO PEOPLE.

Just posted in another thread asking for advice because i'm soon to finish up my sociology degree and have no idea what to do next. 100% do not do it, the regret is real. (Also didn't get any advice on what to do next if anyone wants to throw a fucboi a line)

nice doobs

I like when people use weak arguements against me.
Part of the reason Im doing the course is the same reason I find it funny when my little bro and sis try and fight me. Im not strong but they are little babby

Protip: Criminology is not sociology with a new name. It's a subfield of sociology.

t.SociologyPhD

Do what I plan to do, become Sup Forumsice man-officer

I know, but Sup Forums doesnt into nuance.

I did a sociology minor cause it was 6 courses. It just reinforced stereotypes, shit like what a REAL criminal is or what a REAL society is, and divisions like rich poor or smart stupid

Check this cunt out. Literally the only grasp on reality you could possibly sustain.

Triggerwarning, he is the definition of a degenerate.

True. In terms of bluepilled classes, take anything that includes a heavy component on Foucault. Discipline and punish, etc. I'm bluepilled, but not nearly that bluepilled.

You'll have to admit at some point that the marxists had some really solid analysis, and can hold their weight regarding societal mechanisms
Just don't let it become your only paradigm, adding some right-wing and biology in sociology can produce magnificent results

Not that they are directly comparable, but what do you do/plan do to with your PhD?

Just curious for my options

Pic from my sociology book. Just agree with the professor, no matter how solid and true what you say, it wont change anything. Not while youre in school at least

Im hoping for this result.
Im pretty right wing (culturally and econ), so if I submerse myself in leftism entirely I hope to form some perfect balance of ideas.

dont listen to most of these unemployed/uneducated/shills , first post was best

Weber , Gramsci, Foucault, etc. if youre truly unbiased, you will learn. For example, you dont have to like the fact of political standings of people like Gramsci to take away crucial truths they explain about how (((they))) work , and how lots of whats in social science and sociology is very much part of (((their))) social engineering of society

I dont think I am without bias, but when I notice my own bias I try to oppose it. Taking the course is a manifestation of this, I suppose

Exactly, and I almost forgot Betham. Crucial for any truly knowledgeable red pill experience

True, everyone has bias - many often dont realize the challenge that is, when it comes to trying to learn something, people can get unreasonably set in their ways in my opinion, which limits their ability to learn all they can

Interestingly enough, I work at a well-known tech company in the US as a researcher. If you have any interest in going this route, I have some advice: take all of the quantitative methods courses you can and avoid qualitative methods courses at all costs. If there are courses in computational sociology, take those as well.

facts not feels

Solid advice, thanks my dude

Try it yourself but it doesn't work. You'll just want to claw out your eyes when these people speak to you, I genuinely wonder how many people I speak to everyday should be in an asylum.

What's worse is that they'll advocate for stuff like communism without realising that aspects of the manifesto are already in law (progressive income tax despite a flat tax being more inline with the spirit of communism, state ownership of public land) and they'll happily spout neocon talking points about leaving NATO.

nice trib

Working in retail made me into a retardism based masocist, I need new levels of pain

Unless you plan on using a sociology degree to go into something like law enforcement, don't do it.

An accredited education is as red pilled as you can get. You'll be reading difficult material and having to debate based on understanding fundamental, yet complex concepts while having to play devil's advocate at times.

It's not Sup Forums where you have people with an obvious agenda trying to perpetuate the most basic of human instinctual behavior has universal and definitive.

Have fun. I'm glad you're interested in something usually denigrated by conservatives since it's not business related. Conservatives don't like science or sociology much but that never stops them from opining on the topics like they've some authority.

>I did one sociology course to fulfill a degree requirement and it was pure intense far-left propaganda.
No, you didn't.

Sociology is just terms and concepts like hunter/gatherers v pastoral and nomadic, etc. Neolocative genetics, shit like that. At best you've have intense class discussions. I've never seen a professor take any kind of political stand in class.

>ll they do is defend marxism,criminals, refugees,etc.
You're a liar too.

>What's worse is that they'll advocate for stuff like communism
Really? Not a single one of you neckbeards has ever been to college? No wonder you're terrified of learning anything useful.

I'm a History major for the sole purpose of getting into education and infiltrating the enemy. Redpilling children and eventually teenagers is my purpose in life.

D E V I L I S H

I'm in graduate school for social science. You are right, it isn't blatant marxism but some classes, depending on the professor, can be very far left. I had a professor a few years ago who flipped his shit and yelled at a student for implying walmart employees should just quit if they dont like their job.

went along the lines of
> Must be wonderful to have the privilege to just up and quit a job.
> these workers are victims of capitalism
> changing and regulating business is the answer.
> single mothers have no other jobs available.
>you are ignorant for thinking all people have the ability to determine their own life

it was funny to see a 50 year old get so triggered and bully a 18 year old fag, the hypocrisy was delicious

Studying psychology, 3rd year, class is probably 90% female, professors are blue-pilled shills but they contain their autism most of the time. The course is mostly politics-free. My only gripe is the ridiculous number of one-off experiments that get published then some of them later get debunked. Imagine how many more are false?

Just be prepared for nobody wanting to employ you using your degree.

Or maybe something like a social worker.

I used to be a sociology major, but then I had to write a paper on the "gender wage gap". I couldn't find any concrete evidence on it and ended up failing the course since I couldn't write the paper in time. If anything at least it forced me to redpill myself.

It literally could not make me less employable, so I have that at least. Military is always an option

What a meme.

most employers, unless its an extremely specialized field, just check bachelor degree off the list and don't even check to see whet the major is.
>he fell for the STEM meme

cuck

History is a subject that's red pilled as fuck though.

Masters degree in sociology reporting in

True, but the eduction system is not.
