American cities did not naturally develop over centuries from a medieval core, they are primarily the construct of large corporations in bed with automobile developers during the mid-20th century that exist as little more than dormitories for workers and corresponding places for consumption.

There is.

New England, Maine etc.

Rhode Island.

You should really learn more about your country.

There are have you been to your local airfield?

Concorde, NH

Closest we have is NO French quarter, and parts of NY, before the 60s.

We have Panda Express and strip malls, though, so there's that.

Harrisburg, Connecticut

There's lots of comfy small towns from New England, to Texas, but the cities are pretty fucked. Don't even get me started on the abomination unto god and man, known as the suburbs.

Lewiston, Maine

Even on the other coast.

Seattle.

It's just not true. You just have to go to the old town center or historic district, every city I visited in the USA had one.

because that's a 15th century church, america wasn't even known back then

Even in the big cities.

Pic related you find these kind of neighbor hoods all over New York City.

That's it, though. You guys all see these
Minute pockets and think that's in any way representative of the 450 or so million people living here. To put it in perspective, it's a longer trip from Houston to New Orleans, than it is from Berlin to Prague.

The overwhelming majority is desolate rural nothingness, or these nasty little generic strip malls and highway towns. The cities with any character are quickly
Turned into high rises and mass bachelor pads for yuppies.

It's an easy misconception, as a tourist, but it isn't the reality of this massive country.

Yes, I said NY and NO.

>the 450 or so million people living here
There are not 450 million people living here.
>The overwhelming majority is desolate rural nothingness, or these nasty little generic strip malls and highway towns. The cities with any character are quickly
Not really, sounds like you're just dumb/poor.

Downtown Brunswick is pretty nice too.

>450 million people

What?

Do you even recognize historical buildings?

Half the skyscrapers in New York are from the 1860s.

That's about as far back as your country building meaningful structures goes.

Real means to build cities weren't there until after 1800.
