>CIA malware targets Windows, OSx, Linux, routers >The CIA has developed automated multi-platform malware attack and control systems covering Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris, Linux and more, such as EDB's "HIVE" and the related "Cutthroat" and "Swindle" tools
>HIVE >HIVE is a multi-platform CIA malware suite and its associated control software. The project provides customizable implants for Windows, Solaris, MikroTik (used in internet routers) and Linux platforms and a Listening Post (LP)/Command and Control (C2) infrastructure to communicate with these implants. >The Honeycomb toolserver receives exfiltrated information from the implant; an operator can also task the implant to execute jobs on the target computer, so the toolserver acts as a C2 (command and control) server for the implant.
The CIA is in YOUR FUCKING INTERNET ROUTERS WHY THE FUCK ISN'T ANYBODY MAKING A PISSSTORM OUT OF THIS???!?!?!
Why go through all the trouble to exploiting individual devices and computers one by one when they can compromise WHERE ALL YOUR FUCKING DEVICES CONNECT TO THE INTERNET THROUGH??!??!?
the wrt54g router came out a really long time ago. something is suspicious about that document

I'm the scrub your mom calls to come and fix her desktop/laptop. Believe me, lots of people are using those old WRTG54 routers and older computers/operating systems.
What's even worse is the "internet of things" devices like DVD, Bluray players, and so on. These are hardly ever updated and essentially abandoned by the companies that make them when the new Bluray comes out to replace their previous model. The new one might get a firmware update or two, but in a year or so another edition comes out. The previous ones are left alone and exploits will happen.
This is partly how people can manage such extensive DDOS attacks with a million machines. People use these devices without security updates and other devices can't be updated because they've been simply abandoned by the manufacturer. when the newer shiny model comes along.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to make sure your "smart tv" and blurays and dishwasher and thermostat or whatever else NEVER connect to your home internet.
Adam Campbell
I think that the NSA is jist trying to kill CIA. >CIA need war to maintain his status >CIA wants to survive and starts with cyber shit >NSA jealus and leaks what ever they achive

Please recruit me to do intelligence stuff. I'm perfectly willing to fake my death somehow. I just want something to do with my life.

>the wrt54g router came out a really long time ago
THINK ABOUT IT
What better way to infiltrate a home connection, where an old router (that still works) is used to connect to the internet (older = HIGHER INSTALL BASE) and more likely to not have their security vulnerabilities fixed & patched??!??!
FUCKING SPREAD THIS SHITTTTT YOUR GRANDMA'S ROUTER COULD HAVE FUCKING CIA NIGGERS INSIDE IT!!!!!
Jeremiah Roberts
But my router is OpenBSD, is that in the list they targeted?
Cameron Rogers
>The CIA is in YOUR FUCKING INTERNET ROUTERS WHY THE FUCK ISN'T ANYBODY MAKING A PISSSTORM OUT OF THIS???!?!?!
While that's funny, all sorts of non-government people are "in your routers" as well. This is what people who like to DDOS use. Way too many people even have new routers but keep the default security settings in place.
Matthew Bennett
This is obviously a psyop everybody knows that Mac can't get viruses
Jace Jackson
Maybe if your router was BDSM you could make the CIA your bitch

Hell I'll even do a suicidal falseflag or something.

Camden Gray
It's not explicitly listed, so you could be safe. That said, to assume that they're not able to attack BSD routers would be foolish, just depends on the install base and their willingness to code exploits for such a platform.
It might be the safest option atm.
Christopher Richardson
>Windows meh >Mac OS X meh >Linux jerks >Solaris WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!?!?!

Absolutely fucking not. Protocols become compromised given enough time and all older routers have exploits easily available to any script kiddie.

I'm to stupid to understand any of this but im going to panic anyway

Exactly, the only way to remediate this is the collapse of civilization. Which coincidentally is coming along quite nicely in Europe as they are flooded by Migrant "Children" "Escaping War" and are not "Criminals\Terrorists". US has been delayed for now (((give it time))), Canada is there and Western Asia-Pac countries will either be Mussie or ""Communist"" by the end of the century, just depends who decides to out-breed us first.

They can hack the shit out of any device you have connected to the internet, using specially built software. The "nasty files" that they plant on your computer then self-delete after it's done its task to cover its tracks.
Aiden Watson
The older a piece of tech is the more likely some exploit is found for it. Hell you can go and download software right now that can take control of a PC on your network if it runs windows 2004.

>securelevel may no longer be lowered I think you may have misunderstood? When OpenBSD boots init is the process that gets everything running and configured. You can change settings to configure the kernel to not allow the filesystem to be modified so the filesystem is readonly. But you can tell the kernel to remount the filesystem read-write, that is unless you have a higher securelevel setting. After that once the securelevel config setting is raised then the kernel will refuse to lower the securelevel and it will refuse to allow you to modify or write to the filesystem. What this means is they cant write their backdoors, rootkits, etc onto your filesystem.

somewhere in the world i bet lots of hackers are really happy today reading all this shit
Jayden Harris
Yes. Preferably making your own using a operating system/distribution not explicitly listed up above. Look into BSD distros. Run a 64-bit version of the OS if possible (avoid 32-bit.)
This would work in theory if your device/computer was the only thing infected. If it's the router that's infected, you'd have to manually login into it and manually set the time. Go ahead, ask any normie or tech-illiterate person you know if they know how to do the above.
THIS SHIT IS FUCKED
Checked, and gotcha. >After that once the securelevel config setting is raised then the kernel will refuse to lower the securelevel Does that require a reboot? If not then that's awesome.
Tomato and DD-WRT were originally meant to run on MIPS routers (aka wrt54g) so while tomato might not be necessarily exploitable, the platform is still vulnerable. Tomato wasn't listed explicitly, but DD-WRT was. if you're running tomato i'd secure it down as much as possible, the other alternative is to ditch and run something else altogether.
Jordan Martinez
But I use a mac?
I thought nobody could hack macs?
Brandon Peterson
You're golden buddy. Don't even sweat it.
Jaxson Cooper
Why? Some of these zero-day exploits are being used by those hackers. They'll be patched and the government will be sued for not disclosing these known exploits to the ownership party within the legal time frame.
Hackers won't be happy that some of these exploits will be patched.
Colton Moore
What is the purpose of all this anyway? Non-meme answers please.
Joshua Ramirez
Complete and universal surveillance. No biggie, nothing to see here. I think hockey is on.
Jason Parker
How is your mac connected to the internet? Unless you're tethered wired/wirelessly to your phone or mobile data hotspot, that mac more likely than not is connecting to the internet through a router. So let's say maybe your mac isn't infected, but your router would conceivably. They would still know shit about the internet connecting through your mac by reading into ALL internet traffic going through your router.

The CIA has secretly built their own NSA and an arsenal of cyberweapons to go with it. Literally has the entire capacity/capabilities of the NSA and none of the oversight.
These capabilities include the ability for them to leave fingerprints pointing to another party (i.e. Russia, China, Best Korea, etc). It's even part of their best-practices & do's-and-don'ts. It should call all of the "Russian h4x" allegations into question
Of course it will get dismantled; no taxpayer will agree to this asinine level of redundancy and clear lack of accountability.
Praise kek, boys. We might get to see the dismantling of the CIA.

I formally retract my former skepticism regarding the nothingness of this leak. It is actually pretty fucking huge.

Dude, back when NSA shit was first revealed and even long before that, many people theorized, believed, or knew that something was up. So what?
You do realize that most commercial calls are recorded, that your ISP keeps your activity logs, that there are cameras literally in every public place you go, and you're bothered that someone is recording your shitposting, gaming, buying, browsing, and porn activity? Come on, man. Just deal with it. Big Brother is here to stay. Nothing's gonna change because of these "leaks".
I suppose it just takes longer for some people to realize that it's not happening. Remember my post when WikiLeaks reveals something "major" again and compare it with what's actually going to happen after the current reveal (protip: literally nothing), and stop giving them attention. You've subconsciously already submitted. Have a nice day.

One thing to remember. Is that since the CIA spies literally everything and everyone, even using SmartTV and shit. It leads to them having a file on every person on the world. So in case of a presidency election, they can just pick a candidate they want and protect him, in the same way, they can open the field of a candidate they don't like and start releasing information about him to discredit him into Oblivion. This destroys democracy, this gives them the tool to control the world with propaganda against people they don't like.
I'm a spic and I can't put it into words as nice as the original poster that said this. I hope I expressed the message good enough.
