Russia has decided to bring back nuclear strike trains for at least 5 army units, for a total capacity of 120 missiles. The modernized versions of the Soviet trains that were shelved in 1993 are meant to be a "trump card" in any Atomic war, as the sheer amount of trains on the railways will overwhelm the attackers capability to effectively strike against the nuclear capability of the country.
The news came as a shock for Washington and NATO, which has wanted to to bring back the NATO-Russia council suspended after the annexation of Crimea in 2014, for renewed co-operation.
indeed. wonder if this will increase the value of my cold war model railway pieces (incl. missile train)
Charles Cox
>incl. missile train Where did you get it? Post a pic.
Aaron Ramirez
...
Gabriel Torres
>missile train
how would the train move with it carrying the 1-3 ton missile
Josiah Hughes
Can't wait to see Russia bomb themself
Justin Thompson
>how would the train move on the railroad what is this question?
Christian Moore
Can a smart Euroe give me a quick rundown on Russia's interactions with the West prior to the bolshevik takeover of 1917? Assuming that period to 1991 were an abberation as they were controlled by jew ideologues and they could maybe gain some normalcy.
or would such a review of history be irrelevant because prior to 1917 they were just farming retards
Matthew Thomas
you got the train carrying a missile heavier then the train itself, i dont have a problem with ya mate but its a bad idea, how is russia anyway
Robert Peterson
>you got the train carrying a missile heavier then the train itself I don't think trains are only 3 tons.
Jordan Gutierrez

Hudson Jenkins
Wait. Are you thinking about toy trains or do you just not know about freight trains transporting iron ore and railways/ bridges supporting around 12 tonnes per meter?
Leo Bell
>put a brick on the rail >train derails with a live nuke
lol
Mason Adams
Will it be another steam powered ramp launch masterpiece
Chase Richardson
im talking about regular trains not toy ones

Nathan King
they wouldn't be live
Easton Walker
GOLDENEYE
Parker Richardson
>missile heavier then the train itself But they are just above 100 tons. Trains can carry multiple wagons with the mass of over 40 tons. >how is russia anyway Depressing at the moment, but i'm optimistic
Jason Gutierrez
>The news came as a shock for Washington and NATO >this news outdated for years nato_slowpoke.jpg
Jordan Campbell
How is a train more effective than a submarine? Or is it just a public deterrent for neighbouring countries?
Charles Morris
research the 20th century to find your anwer
Nolan Murphy
p-pls no bully
Jason Wilson
It's cheaper plus we have shit acces to the water and we have a lot of land - good luck tracking them.
Jason Carter
>your nation is so poor even your nukes can't afford to take a plane
Thomas Ortiz
It's just more effective than static silos. The deterrent for neighboring countries is that Russia has more nukes than probably all of them combined
Jaxson Hughes
They're ICBMs dumbass More expensive than dropping a bomb from a plane that'd probably just get shot down anyway
Adam James
ROCKET POWERED TRAINZZZZZ
Imagine how fast those fuckers will travel. Suck on that Elon Musk.
BASED
John Adams
It's not more effective than SSBN. The point is to build a more survivable second strike weapon, because that missile train is hard to detect and distinguish via satellites. You can never know where all the rail-based ICBMs are in any given moment. However, if found they are soft vulnerable targets. And of course, the rail system limits the actual places in can be and is limited to the warmer parts of Russia most of the time. Trade-Offs friend.
Jacob Myers
You do realize that the US at one point planned to do the exact same thing.
It is less about the 'sheer amount of trains', and more about the fact the trains are always moving around, so the US would not be able to wipe them out in a first strike.
The giant truck mounted missile platforms that Russia uses are the same thing.
It's just MAD, man. The same thing that has kept the globe mostly at peace since WWII.
Cameron Diaz
That's a good point, each freight car you see on a train is only carrying a maximum of five pounds. Trains can't move large weights.
Juan Gray
guys it´s a translation from the german BILD this are not news this is savecrap.....
David Phillips
kind of sad the world has to end for one fat jewish man's ego
Juan Perry
Maybe if Dems and neocons weren't in full rabid war-against-Russia mode, then Russia wouldn't have to do these pointless cold war exercises.
Camden Bailey
>but i'm optimistic Don't get your hopes up. There are talks about stopping buying gas from you. If that happens, you're fucked (and us too, probably).
Isaac Robinson
>If that happens, you're fucked (and us too, probably). I say you go for it.

Jordan Turner
Thick smoke is the best stealth technology.
Landon Bennett
this has to be fake
Ryder Edwards
>It is less about the 'sheer amount of trains', and more about the fact the trains are always moving around
It's both. The amount of trains and their relatively unpredictable movements make it harder to hit them all in a first strike (as compared to silos).
Isaiah Diaz
kek
Aiden Foster
It's real.
Evan Long
Makes you think, huh.
Connor Peterson
It would be irrelevant.
Lucas Perry
It would be irrelevant, but mostly because the advent of the Atomic Age flipped the table over and has permanently changed everything, since the threat of a large scale war in Europe receded and one of a nuclear kind became the expected norm. Any "interactions" must thereafter thus be weighed against this new situation instead of any historical ones.
Liam Flores
fucking kek
Brayden Martin
*It would be relevant, and I'm going to post some figures for the benefit of lurkers.
Asher Evans

I made the Anne Frank connection immediately.
Really makes one ponder
Isaiah Clark
You, user, are an embarrassment and a disgrace to the Stars and Stripes.
Mason Taylor
Nuclear Strike Trains sounds nice.
And for some reason I imagine it would be fucking comfy to be on one of those.
Daniel Johnson
Oy vey,its a pure coincidence.
Julian Watson
I thought they scrapped these the first time around since they were too heavy for normal tracks and required reinforcement...thus making it obvious to satellites where the trains were.
Brandon Reyes
>launching a jet from a train
I like it, I like it a lot
Jeremiah Johnson
this pic is obviously bullshit
The head says 10s, 20s and 30s
tho there are same numbers for all three categories
and the numbers look VERY doubtfull
Logan Gonzalez
That game forever changed my life
Julian Russell
Is there a list of names available? I would like to see who those 208 (((Latvians))) are.
Owen Moore
Would be irrelevant because before bolsheviks Russia was kind of backwater country swinging between wars with the rest of europe and trying to integrate by following newest french stuff. For a long time they were too far from the cultural center and too backwards to be really relevant, yet, too big to fail so whether it was Poles taking Moscow, Napoleon marching through whole europe into Russia or Mongols overrunning their country, they still stay afloat. Just like Poland, but their sheer landmass prevents them from being completely conquered, controlled and partitioned.
Despite fucktons of commie fuckups they really industrialized whole region and even lifted ukrainian cossacks from their tribal ways into some civilization. Nukes and natural resources only further lift Russia into superpower and global player.
If there was less corruption, crime, if NATO didn't try to choke Russia forcing it to direct lot of money into military, and if they had government that cares more about their people, I hink this country would have huge potential, even if you think about natural resources alone, because I bet there's much more of them there, just in places that currently aren't worth exploring because it's some giant tundra forest or steppe where no one lives.
Thomas Turner
so what you thinks going to happen when the (((jews))) find out there nukes don't work
Jack Peterson
"ok"
Evan Bailey
...
William Russell
I dont know history of western communist movements, and I dont care
wow, if some guy from a picture said that it must be true
Cooper Bennett
russia already has nukes on trucks in bumfuck-nowhere siberia, who cares about trains
fakenews
Andrew Bennett
Not much of the origins of "eastern communism" either then I suppose.
You do know Lenin was paid off by Germany in 1918 and shuttled over to Russia, to ferment a revolution there instead of in mainland Europe? Maybe you should read up on that a bit :)
Jose Price
Is that latvia? I can never remember the flag.
Camden Richardson
We should put nuke trains in space and then drop them from orbit.
William Adams
who cares, our Navy has a greater naval tonnage than the next 10 countries combined. Nuke subs are better
Jeremiah Green
>You do know Lenin was paid off by Germany in 1918 and shuttled over to Russia
no documental evidence on that, moreover Lenin was thrown the fuck out of Germany and could settle and work only in England.
>that pic
1921-1922, when Russia was still in a civil war and has not recovered after a world war? totally jewish genocide, no doubt
1932-1933? you mean that famine which was known only in late 80s and which was not mentioned even in german occupation reprorts? the famine which resulted into millions of population growth?
1946-1947, when Russia was recovering after the second world war, happening mainly on its land and after losing 27 millions of mostly civillain population? yes, it was totally Stalin's fault, why dont they eat cakes?
fucking retard, stop being a cringe and read something besides Sup Forums and hollywood propaganda
Zachary Gomez
Who are you and why the fuck are you talking?
Angel Murphy
>trains can only ride on rails
i dont see how this makes sense, just target the railroads and blow them all up in a first strike. It snot like we dont have the nukes for it
In fact anything but nuclear submarines are stupid since you can glass an entire continent if you want to, but nuking the whales wouldnt be politically correct.
Jonathan Morales
trains have these things called wheels on the bottom.
Liam Powell
>you can glass an entire continent
you cant, nobody can
Liam Reyes
Wow dude these things are like the consensus for professors and shit and it's like in history books over here. But yeah sure, your Russian propaganda is more reputable
Robert Robinson
the best place to put nukes is in space.
Jack Baker
CHOO CHOOOOOO
Sebastian Wood
even if someone could, the resulting fallout would kill everybody,
Connor Price
Can't wait for the inevitable derailment
Robert Rogers
You can if you drop the Sun on it.
Levi Bell
HOL UP S SO YOU BE S YOU SO YU B SAYIN S YU B SAYIN DAT TRAINS ARE HEAVIER THAT NUKES N SHIET?!?!?!?
Adrian Walker
Average weight of trains here (and Russia) about ~ 4000 tonn. Only M62 locomotive weighs 120 tonn.
Jordan Sanders
your history books teach you that spider-man won WW2, lol
fallout is overblown. Modern nukes are all airburst to maximize area of destruction, and produce very little fallout. A nuclear war would be easily survivable as long as you dont actually get nuked. Being cautious about radiation is still advisable but only because of potential cumulative effects if you are just totaly not paying attention
Mason Barnes
I hope the railways are sabotaged or they fail so that I can laugh at Ivans causing nuclear disasters throughout their entire country
It's what subhumans deserve
Cameron Cook
Yeah im sure. Born after glastnost or before? Probably indoctrinated
