classical music hardly even exists inside this country because of mainstream music. I've had people literally tell me that if there aren't lyrics it isn't music.
Classical and other types of instrumental music are almost completely ignored in favor of vocal-centric "music".

People who play instruments are objectively better and smarter people. There is nothing else that engages your brain like actually playing music yourself.
