What's it like living in Russia? What's the avg cost for housing and what kinds of trades opportunities are there? I want to get the fuck out of here and USA isn't an option.
What's it like living in Russia? What's the avg cost for housing and what kinds of trades opportunities are there...
If you wan't to move to Russia move to Moscow. Expensive but there are plenty of jobs, and getting a second hand apartment shouldn't be much problem. That is all I know.
Don't be a fucking a retard and stay in your goddamn country.
Think about Binland, Estonia or Poland first.
Russia is an autocratic corrupt state. I'm strongly suspicious that it won't stay as it is now for long. But if you still for some weird reason want to move to Russia, i suggest visiting St. Petersburg as a tourist first. It's a beatiful city. More civilised and more white then Moscow.
It's in top 20 of the most visited by tourists cities. And definetely an english speaking person can easily find a job there.
I'm moving to Russia this year. I might have a better standard of living in SA, but at least I'll see more white people and I won't have a home invasion.
Do people live a normal life in SA? Always wondered how shit is going down there.
>I won't have a home invasion.
You are up to a rough surprise.
Not bad, but not quite European standards. Living with security as a sub-conscious thought gets to you sometimes, not to mention the depressive walls and electric fences
>avg cost for housing
Generally it could be like ~400$/month in St Petersburg. Or ~600%/month in Moscow for pretty dim commieblock appartment. Yet for example if you have small buisness or remote IT job its great, because its cheap. Also hookers are cheap. Food is relatively cheap. Gasoline is cheap.
cold, depressing and gray.
kinda like ugly version of toronto, without the SJWs.
Let's be frank here.
Russia is memed right now as a new conservative superpower. It is respected on Sup Forums because Russia opposes liberals and their identity politics and doesn't let them cuck itself.
But should you think of moving here? I would think twice about it if I were you. Many people living here want out, and for a reason.
Russia doesn't have a very high level of life. Expect average slav country level of income. IIRC, the average income in Moscow nowadays is $12K/year, after taxes. Needless to say, that's not very high.
Yes, our taxes are among lowest in the world, you get free healthcare and college, retirement plan, and the price of living in general is cheaper. But the quality of it all matches the price. And also, the cars, electronics, clothing etc. cost just the same as in Canada.
So really, I don't think anyone should seriously consider it.
>hookers are cheap
What about the Africa level AIDS epidemic in Russia?
what are the odds of being snatched off the street and put into human trafficking? Is that a threat for a male?
If you're healthy they can take your kidneys etc.
He will not answer. Just got snatched. Saw him being dragged to a car.
True dat. This is probably my last post on /pol, before they take away my phone.
I guess 0.0000000001%.
Dude, I never heard a fucking gunshots in my life (except army).
But if you retarded enough to go in dark shady streets with expencive smartphone or big sum of cash, you WILL be robbed by some gopniks.
Moscow, St.Petersburg and other big cities (>1mil populatin) are pretty much safer than 90% of EU.
Small shitholes are living like snow covered Somalia.
Also, here's manual
Time to start an exciting new life of a gigolo. Old ladies not gonna please themselves.
Why in the hell would you move to Russia from Canada??? Many people there would kill for an opportunity to live in Canada.
And If you think that Russia is a white conservative paradise, then you'll be very disappointed.
Fuck Moscow. Move to some village where you can have freedom and own a gun.
I don't understand what normal person would want to move to Russia. The best choice in my life was to leave Russia and I don't think I will ever return. Another problem is that you have no knowledge in the Russia language and you're not going to go get far without it. Foreigners don't really understand what Russian people have to go through on a daily basis. Waiting in endless lines at the hospital, passport table, вoeнкoмaт, police station. Running around collecting endless spravkas, just to be able to get another spravka. I'm sick and tired of it. Also when you decide to get legalized in Russia (getting residence), you will have a very fun time at the УФMC standing in line with dozens of churkas for about a month before you get to see the inspector to check your documents.
Eh we won't get lulz from that guy now :(
why are your shitholes such shitholes? why cant eastern europe get its shit together?
Because when we got independence what happend was all the industry was sold and we became (((service based))) economies. at least taxes are somewhat low for EU. But the pay is shit as well.
Marhsall plan really helped the west EU
It's almost like we had communism for 70 years and were hit the most by WWII, and then nearly got kiked out of everything, isn't it?
It's like living in a shittier Finland.
That has a president who can actually do something.
He will most likely disregard all of our warnings and go there anyways and maybe in the beginning, life in Russia will be OK for him. I have a few colleagues here that did the same thing and after telling them countless times that they are making a huge mistake, they still went ahead and went. But after about a year or so, he will be back in Canada
Russian/Eastern European people are very stubborn. We will complain and complain that we are living in shitholes, but we do fucking nothing about it. The same corrupted people stay in power because younger generation doesn't vote. Old people suffer from coвкoвый мeнтaлитeт and are used to staying in lines and will happily vote for whatever trash is available.
Living in Russia is surviving. If you like surviving, come here.
Do you speak Russian? If the answer is no, don't move to Russia.
I'm an American and I love living in Moscow. The food / liquor is cheap and women are beautiful. What more could you want? It also doesn't hurt thst my salary is good (over 100k rubles/month)
Weather sucks, though.
You wont get a visa. So just forget it.
SPBP
>100k rubles
So 50 dollars?
Oddly enough, I was offered a job in Poland too (Krakow), but the salary offered was about half of what I was being offered here.
could be many reasons, but good catch, The big polish cities are being filled with companies wanting to put their customer/call service for europe here.
Well, I stayed in Warsaw for a month and liked the place enough to consider it for grad school. I'm just worried Polish will mess up my Russian knowledge.
It is actaully similary, but people never will notice because poland uses the latin alphabet when it clearly was suite for the cyrilic ones, with all the noises
>What's the avg cost for housing
30000 RUR/mo for 1-room apartment rent (with separate kitchen and bathroom), or ~10000 RUR for one room in multi-room apartment, but you'd have to live with other people from other rooms.
~5000000 RUR to buy your own 1-room apartment in Moscow.
300-500 RUR per day for food if you don't cook for yourself.
Average wage for good professional is about 100000-150000 RUR, for management positions up from there and no upper limit.
>what kinds of trades opportunities are there?
There's opportunity for anyone who knows his shit, in any trade.
>The same corrupted people stay in power because younger generation doesn't vote
It seems like this will change. We have a facsist political party in goverment atm, which got 8% (pols gave them 1%) and it looks like they will have at least 20% in next election, mainly because of youngs.
Don't be a retard. Just because Russia's interests lately happened to be in line with the interests of those whose brain at least partially works doesn't mean we are some kind of saviours or bastion or whatever the fuck you want us to be. Russia is an extremly corrupt plutocrathy with half of the people living barely above poverty line. The fact that we are also the only country willing and capable of standing against globalists is pure coincidence.
>plutocrathy
plutocracy
Go to Poland, comrade, you will never regret it.
>food is 10/10
>girls are 11/10 and are all neat
>on 2000$ monthly you can live like a king
>private healthcare with full dentist coverage for you and your family costs 100$ monthly
>no shitskins
t. Ruska swołocz immigrant
>its westerner who thinks he can survive a week in slav country episode
get off internet and stop being a retard, you spoiled brat
you have no idea about economic divide between eastern europe and western world
...
>and USA isn't an option.
>t.convicted felon
Kurwa jego mac
What do you do? How did you end up in Russia?
>100k rubles/month
>good salary
pick one
for american expat in Moscow 100k rub/month is fairly small
Go to like the Czech Republic or Slovakia they aren't cucked and the standard of living is still pretty high. Also, the women are super hot :).
Czech Republic or Slovakia are part of EUSSR which by default means they are cucked
there are more muslims in moscow alone (which has biggest mosque in europe btw) than in entire eastern europe if we exclude your cunt
I was making about the same salary in Saint Petersburg working as a programmer but I was not very happy about my situation and decided that it was time to get out. I also lived the majority of my life there unlike you, and while you're there like a foreigner, you choose to ignore the ugly parts of Russian society because it's everywhere. Getting hammered and fucking some 9/10 whore every weekend is cool, and I did the same since my salary could allow me to do that, but you can do that anywhere to be honest and Russian girls are not that special. They are almost all corrupted and would take advantage of you as much as possible, especially you being an American.
Masz kurwa problem?
Really? It affords me a room in the city center, plenty of beer money, paying off student loans (in USD), with enough left over to save up some.
True, I've only been here for two years, but I still like it. I've been to the shitty suburbs but don't spend much time there (obviously).
As for the women... I've never been taken advantage of, except for sex (mostly because I never pay for girls' stuff). But yes, Russian girls can be rather cold. Especially at first.
Much better than American women who are easy to bed, but the ease of sex is offset in nearly every other way.
>Wanting to live in Russia instead of somewhere comfy like Finland.
Smh.
100k rubles is literally less than 2k dorrars.
You either be larping, or your denbts are figuratively nonexistent.
Yep, and it's enough to pay off the loans of my current payment plan. (Granted, my debt is not huge since I was careful in university.)
>100k rubles is literally less than 2k dorrars.
Russia is an autarchy, converting to dollars is useless as the exchange rate is political, not based on free trade.
>We
Your 'we' is in Haifa, fuck off and never come back.
