For non-Portuguese speakers: the radical leftists at the (((Humanities Department))) of Nova University (which is supposedly the most prestigious in the country) decided to protest against a scheduled speaking on populism by a political scientist who backs a movement called Nova Portugalidade. This movement is patriotic and nostalgic, so of course the students cried racism and xenophobia. They got their way and NP had to cancel (now the University says reschedule) the speaking. The speaker, Nogueira Pinto, our President and other people are outraged at this anti-democratic and intolerant move by Nova. And guess what? Nova Portugalidade has exploded in popularity on Facebook.
