Oldfag here. I was actually there that day, I worked at 90 West st. next door. The first plane hit as I was getting out of the Path and making my way up the escalator. No one knew what was going on, and there was no cell phone service. When I finally made it outside, I was standing with a crowd of people watching the people jump out of the building. After the second plane hit, we were forced by police towards Wall st. and to the Staten Island Ferry. When the first tower came down, we couldn't see it from where we were walking, but it was loud and the ground was shaking. The scariest moment for me was when the white cloud started coming down Wall st. Everyone was screaming that it was a nuclear bomb and that we were going to die. Saw a lot of crazy shit that day. A few weeks later, they let us go to our office to try to get important documents. Everything was destroyed. Part of WTC fell on our building. That same day, they found 2 people from our building in the elevator. They had gotten stuck when the power went out and suffocated.
Actually WTC had to go because of asbestos. What a coincidence that a terror attack took care of them so there was no costly dismantling. Lucky Larry really lucked out.

Although that may be the case, the problem lies that the buildings were made to be a terror proof (plane hitting it) and it was made that way, and the building should not have collapsed with a THIRD of the weight falling on it.

IMO no other explosives or tricks were used to bring the towers down. A plane going 500+mph and all that paper is enough to make the fire super hot and weaken the steel. Building 7 is weird but I dont get why they would have waited until 5pm to demolish it instead of just pulling it when the tower collapsed.
What is up in the air is if the government knew about the attack, and if they aided the Saudi terrorists in any way. These guys gained entry to the US in a pretty suspect way. They all had legal visas but most had no merit and could barely speak English. Someone pulled some strings to let them in IMO.
