Aren't humans basically incapable of hybrid vigor? Dogs achieve it because they were basically only a couple of species once, and we were the ones that fucked them up by only breeding this-and-that so they actually become better by accumulating some genes back they probably should've had in the first place. We just evolved in different places, on different foods, having to use different tools in order to survive different situations. We gain nothing back since we didn't lose it in the first place.
