Because looking into the economic problems unveils the much deeper flaws in Dutch (and European as a whole) society that no one is willing to address.

Think for a moment. In a country with high social trust, high IQ, racial homogeny, a culture encouraging gainful employment and cooperation, and a strong moral center, what need is there for a welfare state? Of course there will always be poor, but the poor have always had charity. There is no need for state involvement there. There is no need to force your children to pay for the dregs of society involuntarily. There is no need to sell out your country whatsoever.
But that's looking at things from a social engineering standpoint. What if we look at things from the point of view of a moneygrubbing globalist piece of shit? It becomes simple in this case.
The poor are not guaranteed any income and therefore are not guaranteed to be able to afford your products. How do you fix this? Go to the government and lobby them to introduce redistributive monetary policy. All the poor are now guaranteed to have enough money to buy your shit and you get richer, the leftists get happy, and the right is in your pocket anyway.
But somewhere down the line, you realize that the policies you asked for are causing very few kids to be born and your profits are shrinking because of it. The middle class struggles more because of higher taxes and so they have shrunk, while the poor have more kids than they used to. This would be fine, except the poor can't afford as much of your shit as the middle class. So what do you do? Well, the Middle East is completely unstable, but it has millions of potential customers. You can't build a store there because it could be burned down, so simply get the government to bring them all to your country. Boom, you get richer overnight since the refugees all get free money
