How Can We Stop the Disrespect of Down Syndrome People

I have down syndrome and no one gives me respect when i am at longos and im helping people with there groceries. I have an extra chromozone and it makes it so i need a little push to learn however that doesnt mean i dont deserve the respect i deserve. I think we need to have a law that makes it elegal to insult people working with down syndrome. One time i was at working and this guy said "hurry up retard" and my manager came and told him to shut his fat mouth and he said "these freaks have no feeligns it doesn't matter" but i do have feelings so how does Sup Forums think of this issue?
