Learning about Black Anus's is part of college course!

>I develop the term black anality to describe how black pleasures are represented as peculiarly and particularly oriented toward the anus, and thus as peculiarly and particularly attached to anal ideologies. In doing so, I depart from black feminist scholarship, which has long examined the buttocks as an imagined locus of racial-sexual difference and which has developed a set of analytics that now predominate in the study of black female sexualities: spectacularity, excess, grotesquerie, and display.

>“Black Anality” offers a new set of analytics for black feminist work on sexuality: spatiality, waste, toxicity, and filth. These analytics, I argue, allow black feminists to consider how black female sexuality is imagined to be rooted in (and perhaps generative of) certain kinds of filthy spaces, particularly the ghetto; how black sexuality is constructed as literally and metaphorically dirty; how black sexuality is posited as toxic, non-productive, and nonreproductive; and how black sexuality is imagined as wasteful.

My question is how are we considered racist compared to this?

Also how is it that US Universities are becoming the laughing stock of the world?

Isn't this just a shitty journal paper from a literally who

>tfw you try to be a black intellectual but everybody knows you're just an anal freak

all those words just to say niggers be liking that asshole.

>someone wrote that

Wooooooooooooow, this is what maintains employment for a professor at one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Its a highly sophisticated academic scam designed to associate poo and butt-holes with black culture, veiled in academia professionalism and terminology, so as to ironically and secretly encourage blacks to argue that black culture is like a butt-hole

wtf am I reading

I must see this

Fuuuuuuuuuucks sake.

I make 60 grand a year to basically do fish research, the fact that someone probably got paid at the very least double to do this is...........really something else

>This article focuses on Rachel Jeantel’s testimony during the highly publicized George Zimmerman trial. Zimmerman was prosecuted on charges of second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, of which he was acquitted in July 2013. I treat Jeantel’s testimony as an act of what Sharon Holland terms “raising the dead” and as a form of black intimacy. In naming Jeantel’s testimony a practice of black intimacy, I am highlighting the ways in which it has become ordinary for black women—as wives, lovers, daughters, and mothers—to become mediums through which slain black men are allowed to speak, mediums who make visible black male pain, suffering, and disposability. I am also underscoring the ways that black intimacies are enacted, enjoyed, and staged in the face of black perishment in an ongoing moment where black bodies are relegated to what Holland calls the “space of death,” whether that space is the material death of bodies like Martin’s, what Lisa Cacho calls the “social death” of persistent devaluation, or the “civic death” of incarceration and criminalization, as Loïc Wacquant writes. The article then asks how and why Jeantel’s intimate act of raising the dead did not allow her access to a privileged class of black women: civil rights widows. Why, this article asks, wouldn’t Jeantel be interpellated as a kind of contemporary civil rights widow, particularly since the media so often insisted on describing her as Martin’s girlfriend? In what ways was her potential widow status undone or unmade? And what was the role of the legal proceeding in this unwidowing?

Fuckin lellllllllllllllllllllllllllll, the word salad this bitch goes through is, to me, indicative of how baseless her subject is. She has to fluff it up and equivocate to such an extreme level because she's talking about fucking nothing lol

No, it's just in a journal Duke publishes. Outside of the people who peer reviewed it, the most that will likely ever happen with this article is one or two grad students will skim it one day. One might even pull out a quote for a seminar paper.

Man holy fuck, Duke is a shithole.

>walk 2 blocks off campus
>murdered, robbed, raped
>in that order

Call me nuts but this crazy bitch is saying that black women's asses are dirty filthy places and it's racist to like black ass and to see it as sexual?

The only people I know who like big fat, untoned, wobbly black asses are black man

Is this woman literally out of her fucking mind?

GOTTA GAS EM' ALL

>NIGGAMON

you guys need to read the full article. it's fucking bonkers word salad schizophrenia.

I had to read far denser insanity back in undergrad ~2011. This is some obtuse writing but I swear in the one required english class I took, the postmodern shit about the "trans-Atlantic memory" and the culture of the creole people etc etc was SO fucking jargon dense that I had to annotate each paragraph down to bullet points. And I majored in Biology where journal articles read more smoothly

>criminalization, as Loïc Wacquant writes. The article then asks how and why Jeantel’s intimate act of raising the dead did not allow her access to a privileged class of black women: civil rights widows. uhhh maybe cus she wasn't married to him.

dumbass

BS Bull shit

MS Master of Shit

Phd Piled High and Deep!

that whole thesis is shit. black women are medium through which the dead black men speak and show their pain and suffering.

holy shit.

Social science requires word salad shit because if they were more concise and just focused on "provable" things and concrete evidence, it would just be nothing

Right up there with Hillary's

Well. At least they named the university suitably.

no no no not butts!

anuses!

she is very clear about that. she's talking about the anus. the poopshute. the corn hole. the butthole.

Just reading a synopsis is not very enlightening. Since this is a critical theory course I am assuming the professor expands on her premise by deconstructing various cultural representations of black sexuality viz film, music, literature and perhaps even pornography. It doesn't seem very far fetched to me that our culture which did in fact enslave black people for a few hundred years would overlay any depiction of their sexuality with a layer of filth and shame. There is also the rhonoceros in the room of the supposed black penis size ratio to whites which comes up as a constant repressed nightmarish fantasies perhaps especially with racists. I have often wondered if the fear is that everything else being equal and women being indoctrinated to worship power that white women would be more attracted to black men; hence the constant struggle to oppress them and keep them at a lower social status. The funny thing is that other enlightened cultures such as Greece in its golden era viewed large penis size as vulgar and also brutal strength as stupid. The white cultural narrative of power ironically contains within itself a destructive kernel of self destruction e.g. Determining values which are contrary to the strengths of white people. This is what you get for promoting the idea of "alpha male"

They think if they're incomprehensible like science papers are to laymen, then they're doing important research.

Psychoanalysis isn't scientific and neither is sociology. You can literally make up any narrative about culture and call it an "analysis." It doesn't make that narrative more accurate than any other.

Whoa..........you just marginalized an entire race

NOT COOL
