I read newspapers to identify fake news by European medias such as AFP and other irrelevant medias that talk bullshit about whats happening in the world. I just shrug off and laugh at that shit fake news. Even Trump got negative media coverage in my newspaper. It's insane.

Except back then people's lives weren't dominated by the newspaper. There are people today who, if they go without their mobile phone for the day, will actually show physical signs of emotional and mental degradation.

I don't assume what people are doing on their phones in public anymore. Although it's unlikely, for all I know people could actually be reading the news or some PDF of a book. Even if they aren't, watching a video or listening to music is preferable to talking at strangers you don't know and won't ever interact with within 2 minutes.
