What happened in Albania wasn't that Albanians converted to Islam en masse. But rather a lot of Christian Albanians were assimilated into the neighbouring ethnicities. I.e. Orthodox Albanians in Serbia and Macedonia (see link above from shekulli.com), Arvanitas, Arbereshe.

Eventually the Muslim minority became the majority. Once we were liberated we were still 60% Christian however our neighbouring countries were assimilating Albanians.
