I grew out of it long ago - why haven't these manchildren done the same?

It's actually a pretty big problem. I like video games. I like guys who like video games. They REALLY like it when girls like video games.
But it is really, REALLY hard to find a guy who takes care of his body and doesn't game for many hours a day. It's an addiction. You have "functional gamers" who make it to work every day. Then you have your "Mah disability" gamers who stay home and all they do is play video games, and take breaks to bitch on Facebook about how poor they are, how much pain they are in, how horrible it is that Trump won, etc.
As much as I enjoy my PS4, I prefer men who do NOT play video games. If they bring it up and start talking about it endlessly, I know to avoid that guy for anything remotely serious.
It is very hard to find casual gamers who are truly casual.

you need solid intellectual interests about which you are passionate and self-motivated to pursue to break out of the addiction to flashy instant dopamine release digidrugs like videogames. you need to be able to think "dazzling my brain with this game would indeed be 'fun' but at what cost? i would be letting my mind rot away and focusing on the games more than my mind would be very detrimental to my future..." and that gives you the will to abandon the immediately pleasurable for that which gives long term rewards.

A ton of people simply choose to drop out of work life because they do not see a benefit when wages are stagnant and housing prices keep climbing every day. I honestly think a lot of people are growing out of video games.
Ever since video games became another platform for liberals to poison the minds of people, a lot of people dropped that shit. There's barely any good games anymore.
Even the Switch looks like shit. The controller looks like shit and the only game that's out for it looks like complete shit too; Zelda game, looks terrible in an open world.
