What's Sup Forums deal with college ?

I don't get what Sup Forums and guys like Molyneux have with college. Just look at him loosing his shit about people going to university to get muh indoctrinated
>youtube.com/watch?v=lfYot1IsqCM

I'm going to university (because I guess it's the equivalent of american college?) to get a thermal engineering degree, and I'm pretty sure no one will ever jump in thermodynamic class to scream and shill for whatever thing. You guys are acting as if univeristy was a leftist nest and if we go there to learn and have more money in the future, we're gonna get indoctrinated by feminists and cucks. What the hell ?
Now you're gonna tell me ''but Jean, degrees are useless''. Yeah, of course, if you're that cuck who's gonna do the same job for the rest of his life and never work his way up because he doesn't have the skills.

Really, how does it work ? You guys explain to me your deal with college, cause you kinda need unless you want to be a gardener or an entrepreneur

I think he means going to university for a degree that's worthless. I.e. social science, pysch, English, history

why did you post a pic of my old uni library

SJWs have invaded institutions of higher learning because they pushed to have so many young women enrolled. But they are off to themselves in nonsense degrees and have nothing to do with the academic integrity of the rest of the school.

Most of us went to university. General Education is bullshit like 90% of the majors.
>take English class
>teacher wants us to write about muh society
>either stroke the teacher's ego confirming their political bias or get a lesser grade

>and I'm pretty sure no one will ever jump in thermodynamic class to scream and shill for whatever thing.

kek no the 2nd law of thermodynamics is obviously racist.

you don't believe this shit until your mathclass is infected because "mathematical figures are helping grow the patriarchy"

don't project your rationality onto mad leftists. don't work like that.

The more stupid someone is, the more likely they are to hold on to right-wing WOO WOO and support idiots like Trump

Depends. The right lost the culture war from the 1960s onwards because leftists we're manning journalism, literature, tv-shows, radio, art, movies, etc.

We need more right wing people to study alpha-sciences

t. history student

I first learned about global warming in C++ class

Unrelated, useless, indoctrination classes are required for every degree here.

>You guys are acting as if univeristy was a leftist nest
Here it most definitely is.
Engineering courses not so much; humanities are cancer like you've never seen in your fucking life.

Too bad the right-wing WOO WOO (God, anti-immigration, anti-evolution, the soul, racism) wouldn't survive a minute of intellectual integrity

If a scientist is right-wing and not an atheist, they deserve to have funding cut, ostracized, humiliated, have their degree revoked and fired :-)

Unfortunately this. Most competent graduates move on to actual jobs while betas and old ladies become graduates trying to justify their jobs by promoting communism-lite. Its the reason state run education is a failure.

well naturally the students of hard sciences who pursue careers that aren't propped up by the academia funding racket will tend to be more right-leaning, but how do we get this to proliferate more through the STEM departments in general? and how could anything right of center ever conceivably take hold in the humanities?

i mean it seems like the only option would be to create our own institutions but that wasn't really necessary for the radical left to colonize much of the academy

I love how you project your ignorance of the aforementioned stuff. There has been substantial evidence for the soul, God, anti-immigraiton policy, and racism which I assume is just race realism.

You live in France, I presume your unis aren't filled to the brim with (((amenities))) and sports and ethnic studies departments and (((admins))) that drive up costs.

IS THERE ANYONE LEFT IN THE WORLD WHO KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "LOSE" AND "LOOSE"?
FFFFUUUUCCCCKKKKK

give him a break he's a frog the rest of his post was more or less cogent

Dont be naive you mong

Of course they do. They are run by the government. France is thoroughly socialistic. You do know France has high taxes and a lot of regulation.

>There has been substantial evidence for the soul, God
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

The problem is people are only focused on the objective. Values has been cast aside, which is a huge mistake.

whats the difference within college and univesity? we dont have that here. you go to university straight from highschool

stopped reading at "loosing"....and you know it is used wrong 80% of the time

He says arts degrees, anything without objective truths.

interchangeable terms for the same thing unless you prefix them with "community (college)" or "four-year (university)" which refer to associate's and bachelor's degree institutions respectively.

This has got to be bait

>how could anything right of center ever conceivably take hold in the humanities?

We just have to stand firm and march through the institutions just like the peers of the Frankfurt School did. There are right wing social scientists, historians, authors, journalists etc. and they are essential assets in our war against the left. Just look at a guy like Shapiro for instance...

We really do need to create our own institutions too. Conservative think tanks, fraternities and newspapers can help a lot

...

If you spend your time on atheist gamer channels and subreddits you aren't going to find convincing arguments for theism. Most of you Sup Forums atheists have the most unsophisticated arguments I have ever heard. and tend to be very philosophically inept.

This is why your kind produce arguments like who made God, and who made the guy who made God, or better yet if God exists why does evil exist

Which you never bother to research seriously.

Give this man a cigar.

Yes we are in our current mess due to leftist over representation with in social sciences and humanities. It is over paramount importance that right wing people attend graduate school and become profs in these fields otherwise the leftist propaganda will continue to overwhelm film, literature, a large amount of legislation and even elementary and hs curriculum.

Society depends on the arts and frankly people like us taking them back.

Most of the top STEM school aren't run by the govt.

Because it's liberal brainwashing boot camp.
The degree is meaningless and only proves that you've accepted liberal indoctrination or that you're capable of putting up with endless liberal bullshitting.
Employers should start hiring people based entirely on skill and ability; mostly disregarding degrees. There aren't many areas which require college education and often experience beats education.

because in the US, a decent university is going to cost an arm and a leg and some people don't have the luxury of well off parents and don't want to live a third of their life in student debt

get your head out of your ass and accept that people don't live in the same situations as you. and you sound pretensions af.

Macron n'est pas le candidat du système voyons goyim :^)

>22: graduate
>26: decent pay, at last
>31: second kid on the way, work hard for promotion
>35: (optional) divorce
>44: reach dead end at job
>50: the only thing keeping you from ending it is late night re-runs of shows you liked when you were 20 and/or sports

College either locks your life in the above pattern, or wastes time and capital you (probably) do not actually have. If you want to specialize take part time college after you got your 1st successful business. Then you can take the talented younger guys you meet there and start another one. It's even worse in academia. You really have to be a special kind of autist to enjoy sitting in a basement somewhere slaving away on an old pc "for the sake of science" while others make millions behind your back.

A lose focus on education will do that to people

>What's Sup Forums deal with college ?
A mix of rationalizations for why they didn't go / get in and the fact that statistically you become more liberal the more educated you are.

Turns out if you actually learn how the real world works on a higher level, you stop thinking so primitively and see the world as it is, not as you want it to be.

But go ahead guys, argue against the one thing that has allowed our nation to progress to the level it has because most of the professors lean left.

(((Sciences Po)))

I was thinking of taking up a masters' program there because it's so renowned and I want to improve my French, but when I saw that they are blocking FN-people from holding speeches on campus I drew back. Glad about it

You're taking thermal engineering of course there's no leftism in your classes.

Anything in the humanities and social sciences is a hive of pseudo-marxism or open marxism though.

meh, don't be one of those people

To be honest I expected him to be way higher in (((science))) po.

>If you spend your time on atheist gamer channels and subreddits you aren't going to find convincing arguments for theism
You don't know how I spend my time.

>Most of you Sup Forums atheists have the most unsophisticated arguments I have ever heard
Ad hominem, and you're grouping me with people I don't know and don't care for.

>and tend to be very philosophically inept.
Ad hominem.

>This is why your kind produce arguments like who made God, and who made the guy who made God, or better yet if God exists why does evil exist
Again conveniently grouping me with other people.
And conveniently choosing arguments for me, without me having spoken a word.
How convenient.

>Which you never bother to research seriously.
You've built an entire narrative there, huh?

Science po is basically Frankfurt school

I'm sorry if I made any mistake. Now stop getting triggered because the loads of mistakes you guys make in French is far bigger yet we don't get triggered about this

Sciences politiques c'est de la gauchiasse.
Je suis sur que 80% des cocus de l'ENA vont voter pour lui.

>working for other people at that age
>putting all your eggs in one basket

Theres your problem

If the job is truly dead end youd put minimal effort and divert your energy to some other income source

Yep, it's pathetic. Their empire will collapse one day. Academia have become a bubble that is ready to burst.

I go to college to fuck bitches, fags

Yeah agreed. There's not much room for agenda pushing when you have to derive the entire content of the class from fundamental equations.

>overcrowded
>subsidies raise tuition fees
>less quality of education
>shitty job market
>college culture is cancer
>deciding mid-term you dont want the degree anyway

apprenticeships, trade schools, learning on the job is the way to go. Find a stable job and buy assets. dont have kids

So provide proof you religious fool!

Or are you just a WOO WOO meister who can't help but talk ad hominems!! WOO WOO ALERT WOO WOO ALERT WOO WOO ALERT

Yeah, if a scientist is not atheist, they are stupid and their work should be discredited and they should just go back to holistic medicine....HAHAHAHAHAHA

>dont have kids

Im heading to university of houston for a major in geophysics this fall after being in CC for 3 years getting a A.S.

How bad is it at UH? Only reason i'm going down there is cuz it's close and i can drop off my bro at work in downtown every morning.

>you need a degree for a trade skill
>electricians
>automotive techs
>steel workers

k

it's an alright city. has too much hype for some reason. in terms of politics, it's generally right leaning.

My gf is redpilling people With her psych degree and I just Jew people out with monthly sub boxes and a franchise (chipotle). Depends what u do with the degree but music and history = doomed

He has a point. Molymeme went to my college and look how he turned out.

Ad hom is an insult in lieu of an argument. You didn't provide any argument. Since I wasn't even attempting to argue my POV.

> You've built an entire narrative there, huh?
You seem to be very dense. I get it you read a very passages out of the Bible and you think you have every thing down but you don't.

I can feel the angst

explain why scientists for the last couple thousands of years were mostly religious ?

atheist being a mainstream thing is very recent

religion is basically a metaphysical and philosophical pursuit anyway and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with science.

theres no way you're older than 15

>driving in houston, at all, ever
>living in houston at all, ever
You will hate your life for the next 2 years

>learning on the job is the way to go

Only possible in the US. The European labour market requires you to have a bachelor or master's degree. Otherwise you can only apply for low-end jobs and the progress on the corporate ladder goes very slow that way... I hate this kind of autism.

ça m'étonne pas franchement

It's like that all the time, most of the time, people living in their white enclave, and have been to private all white schools don't know shit about reality if you see what I mean. They see Macron's program with education (a really good one to be fair) but they unconsciously ignore stuffs they can't see from up their tower

> thermal engineering degree
Don't go to Uni to get useless degrees, that doesn't apply to engineering degrees, of course. Besides, getting degrees in Maths, Engineering or Natural sciences is probably the best you can do if you have no prior skills, the chances of being a leftist after university are pretty small.

>please argue with the one thing that allows our nation to progress.

You do realize American unis have horrible grade inflation which if anything is actually ruining our ability to compete on a global scale.

>believes in big bang yet accepts that we can't even posit what came before.
>dismisses God because of "who made God" argument.

Wasn't Heisenberg a theist?

you go to uni or you get poor, resisting marxism isnt difficult for anyone with skin not colored like mud

In most of Europe(especially southern), everything about the labor market is slow and expensive, both for the employee and the employer, thanks to the shitload of regulations and labor "rights". How couldn't the PIGS be in a bad shape?

I don't really like traditional schooling and most STEM degrees require a PHD to be really useful. Fuck that.

I'm going to college, technically, but avoiding all that debt.
I'm fresh outta HS and looking to get a congressional letter to get into Annapolis naval academy and study naval architecture and instead of tuition I'd have to be an officer in the navy for 4 years.
The US navy has some of the best ships in the world so I am not worried about getting blown up by whoever we're warring with this week, and instead of debt, I'll leave the US navy with a cool ~$130,000

>you don't believe this shit until your mathclass is infected because "mathematical figures are helping grow the patriarchy"
I've never come across this kind of people in my classes. And it's not like we lacked leftists in French unis

>You guys explain to me your deal with college

Their parents didn't go to college, they don't want to go to college, and they think blabbing against it will change things. Meanwhile, every professional couple has their kids go to good colleges, and they themselves become professionals and live upper middle class lives.

I went back to college and did see screwy things. I went to a good state school and did not take out big loans. Some kids take out loans, take majors which have no financial future, and don't even take those classes seriously. Of course, those kids are fucked.

I took CS classes. Not only did I study like hell for class, I ran a side business, and did side projects and extra reading on top of that. And there are people ahead of me. Unless you come from money, you have to prioritize studying over partying if you want to get ahead. You can party one night a week, not every night.

> most STEM degrees require a PHD to be really useful.

Who told you this? They're either an idiot or lying to you.

In the US, companies prefer to hire Engineers with just a BS, not an MS or PhD. This way they can take you on with as low risk as possible while you're still qualified. Ideally you will have worked an internship with them, or multiple internships elsewhere. Your pay won't be great but after a few years when you have some experience, you can get hired pretty much anywhere in your field and make good money.

Top tier STEM schools and universities in France aren't really run by the government even though they're public.

The company I work for now does the opposite with tragic results. They over hire PhD people thinking they're getting magicians. They ALWAYS severely underperform and are overpaid. It just pisses everyone off. It's like a socialist make work program for wayward PhDs

One big cheese at one time 40 years ago had a PhD, now they think they can repeat.

It's not the in class stuff you gotta worry about.

If you're on a physical campus (if not, you're more likely than not getting ripped off) and at the undergraduate levels, you're going to be doing two things:
1. Walking around the entire campus
2. Taking Classes that are not pertinent to your degree directly due to the college desiring that you have a 'broad' background.

You run into the leftist shit when you're going to the main student center to get lunch. You just want to get a warm meal and there's an entire group of liberals that have chained themselves to the entrances and deny the center entrance in order to protest.

You run into leftist shit when you're in the library working when suddenly an air horn goes off and a loud jackass gets on a table and starts shouting the virtues of communism.

You run into leftist shit you find out you're required to take a class, that YOU are paying for in order to be told how much privilege you have, regardless of the fact that you had to take out loans while the less privileged people get full blown scholarships because they have half the GPA you do.

Is that a Fortune 500 company?

>The US navy has some of the best ships in the world

That's a Canadian Halifax Class Frigate.

I just googled it, I don't really care

I think it's just shills and cunts who are jelly that they never when to uni. We should be encouraging young Sup Forumstards to go to uni so we can get some more nationalist in positions of influence. You aren't gonna be changing things as a welder or plumber.

If you find opportunities you can learn a lot at a university. I'm in a professional program now that I could have gone into no matter what my major was, so it didn't really matter. But having seen it first hand, yes the Universities are propaganda mills and sources of degeneracy- it's true.

I've seen a number of people make 100k plus out of high school welding or crop dusting. I've also seen people do really well after going to a university. It all depends on the person. In many cases college degrees are over rated, which is true, and you can succeed without one. But at the same time if you go to a university and apply yourself to a subject that's not worthless, and have some natural ability, you can go a long way.

People have a tendency to needlessly hate on universities, and the others have a tendency to aggrandize them. They can be great for some people in terms of education, but they are also cancer because they are propaganda mills. Both are true.

>divert your energy to some other income source

If you go to college, you have to rush to get employed. You spend 2 years as a NEET after college your applications start to come back. That's why you'll always be stuck in a job the second you enter a university without a business plan.

I can only shitpost as a way of communicating.

Your god and your soul are words to comfort you.
Immigration has reduced employment and prosperity, but it is also responsible for the majority of scientists we have. We perform more than 80% of the world's biomedical research because of them. Mixed bag. We have had a negative net immigration with Mexico for six years running now, so that wall is pretty irrelevant.
You can find 90% of the variability of the human race in any village of greater than 70 persons. Most of the rest is environment-specific adaptation.

There are reasons why only 3% of the scientific community identify as republican.

good point, we should do away with them entirely

Not cool, man.

t. Right leaning atheist.
