I think even Karl Popper posited that there are three "worlds", one of them is the one of material facts, which can be scientifically investigated. But there are also other "truths" and worlds, I think one of ideas and the other of personal experience/aesthetics (have to look it up). If you only rely on empiricism you are too reductive and miss most of the picture, besides the fact that it can never justify itself nor can it even function by itself, Peterson mentions some of these problems, for example the one of value judgements. Reality is infinite, so which facts are even relevant to you? This philosophy should have died somewhere in the middle of the 20th century.
