Hakenkreuz is also an Aryan cross, and like the Schwarz Sonne, it refers to the Logos, as does the Kolvorat, although it's history and significance are slightly different. The Hakenkreuz and Sonne are ancient symbols dating back to Greece, Byzantium, and ROme -- and found in burials of Aryan mummies in China, so truly ancient. They are found in the most frequency in Aryan lands. All are versions of the sunwheel, and expression of the Aryan concept of divinity. All are reference to the Light of the Immaterial World, the light of Christ, the light "that only blind men see", the light of Christ's wisdom/teachings, of the Word of God, etc, etc.
The symbol you were referring to earlier from Wewelsberg wasn't put there by the SS. THe castle is built on a site associated with Holy Crusaders as far back as the 1100s. The castle itself was built in 1600 as a symbol of resistance against Hungarian encroachment. Though the exact reason for the incorporation of the symbol during its construction is not certain, anyone with knowledge of it's significance can make a guess. I'll post some sources, but bear in mind their are differing schools of thought on esoterica (will take more than the character limit)

Logos is far more ancient than that, and not limited to the Stoics. It is more commonly referenced in Christian theology, and prior to this, throughout Roman and Greek culture/thought.

Possibly, but that's a bit tinfoil, and matches Allied propaganda tropes a bit suspiciously. They cultivated the image of "Nazi satanists". Studying German science, they were some pretty conservative, straight-laced fellows, not hippies or romantics prancing in fairy circles. Not even Himmler was that much of a moonbat about his beliefs. But Savitri Devi and Rosenbaum might have been a bit more eccentric.

It's possible, I don't know if I can comment on exactly what Natsocs thought, but Germanic revivalism was popular in many circles, like Thule society and its spinoffs.

The book I am reading now, Rise of the 4th Reich, claims Hitler was financed by the Bavarian Illuminati (apparently they have kept alive esoteric knowledge and even serpent cults from the days of Hyperboria - ala Conan) to counteract the Bolveshiks, whom were also financed from New York by the globalists. But the book is too heavily biased to trust, lacks sources, and the authors understanding of fascism is childlike.

I'm pretty sure Hitler had a passing awareness of esoterics; its obvious in Mein Kampf that he was well read, and familiar with German Romantic movements. He also wrote some poems that reference the tree of wisdom, etc. But there is no evidence that he was too deep into anything unconventional. I think he truly believed it was his duty to remain conventional and proper for the sake of his people. He often clashed with those who acted too far out of conventions for the time.
