ONE NATION GENERAL /ong/

>Support for One Nation 21% in the seat of Banks, which includes Hurstville and parts of Bankstown
>In the seat of Reid (Sydney's inner west), One Nation has 16% support

This is according to Labor's own polling.

>tl;dr - Chinks love Pauline

Chinese Australians are socially conservative and loathe Muslims. An application for development for a mosque was recently denied in Hurstville thanks to huge protest by Chinese people.

Can we get the Chinese on board with our ultimate goal of a White Australia Policy by selling it to them as """civic nationalism"""?

Tbh, if Hanson hadn't fucked up in the 90s, based Chinks would've been one of her strongest support bases. They fuckin hate Muslims

Maybe if they focused on nationalism and not homophobia they might actually win something.

ON isn't homophobic though

Apart from one or two fringe candidates

Do they support gay marriage? Christian morals don't have to be a part of every nationalist movement.

They support a public plebiscite (referendum basically)

I think their official position is to have no position on it. Pauline herself supports traditional marriage. But she said she would honour a public vote on it.

Ok so she is anti-gay. Why not get white gays on your side? What do you have to lose?

Our gays mostly think Islam is a religion of peace

Not enough terrorist attacks in Australia yet

Pauline Hanson has clashed with 2Day FM hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O over the issue of gay marriage in her first interview since announcing her return to politics.

The former One Nation leader, who plans to stand in this year's federal election, invoked the Diggers in her argument against same-sex marriage and urged listeners to ''think of the children''.

She also warned that ''someone [will] pay the price'' if gay marriage becomes legal.

''The fact is I don't agree with gay marriages, or gays adopting children or [having] in vitro fertilisation,'' she told the hosts, adding that she has ''a lot'' of gay friends who support her stance.

You will eventually have gay marriage, polling trends in that direction, the question is whether you will be seen as reactionary or an ally.

So support gay marriage and not Islam. This strategy has rarely been done and it could work to get 3-5% more votes that a minority party desperately needs.

Not sure what you're getting at here

Gay marriage is not a major concern for One Nation voters, and her personal stance on gay marriage won't turn off potential voters who see immigration as a much bigger issue.

You're also forgetting that immigrants often hate the idea of gay marriage more than anyone else. Immigrants represent a much large portion of the population than gays. And there are apparently enough immigrants now that support One Nation and are happy to pull up the bridge behind them.

Immigration is a big issue but when you have crackpots in the ranks social conservatism is a turnoff to many female (gay and not) and male (gay) voters. Every vote counts. Australia will eventually have gay marriage so by speaking against it Hanson appears reactionary.

Should be One Happy Nation.

I get your point

But I still think there are very few potential voters who are (1) anti immigration and (2) pro gay marriage, especially among young people.

The way our elections work here also means that One Nation can still have quite a significant influence on politics with, say, 20% of the vote - which is what they would be looking at at the next election (if the party doesn't crumble).

Young people are more likely to be accepting of gays than older people and so to use this wedge issue positively to bring in younger voters that would otherwise vote socialist would be a genius strategy. At least just say you have no opinions on marriage and would support whatever the voters want rather than trotting out the ol' traditional marriage or worse the gay nazi mind control shit that woman in WA did if you want to actually win. Almost every Western nation has gay marriage now save Germany and Italy and nothing horrible happened in New Zealand when they got it. National socialism means you support ALL white people in your country and their desires/needs, not just the ones who agree with your personal moralities.

You're probably right

I guess they could also use Islam's stance against gay marriage as another reason for people to vote for them.

That's what Geert did and to a lesser extent Trump did.

bump

Let's make it happen
