Hip Hop developed when a generation of unwanted children without fathers and no classical education started making music and even though it originally was about having fun it should be seen as a counter reaction to the demands of modern society, or rather as an attempt to embrace one's role as a social outcast and the refusal to grow up. Hip hop was started by Disco DJ's using modern remixing technology on pop songs at the time (disco and funk, mainly)
