What's Sup Forums's take on eugenics?
Do their parents still dress them up like a freakshow attraction?
Smart if done for specific obviously good genetic traits, like intelligence, disease immunity, etc.
Pointless and gives eugenics a bad name if done with race as a factor.
it's not possible because people aren't smart enough to design other people
>Smart if done for specific obviously good genetic traits
you are literally the cancer of this scorched earth, faggot.
it's the benefit of looking after them for all those years
having your own ewok for an hour or two isn't doing anyone no harm

Those are just normal pure bred white Americans.
[Genetically inferior anti-eugenics shill detected]
You're absolutely ignorant.
Many genetic conditions are well understood and could potentially be edited out of births today through artificial fertilization. Ethics and funding bullshit are the only thing holding us back.
you please me
Eugenics isn't something that should be imposed IMO, at least, not initially, but it isn't a bad idea in principle.
Tell me, how the fuck is advising people that cannot realistically raise a child that they should reconsider having children?
How is telling people with an unusually high risk of transmitting genetic deseases that ruin lives to reconsider having a child that's probably going to end up with it?
>preventing all downs syndrome, cystic fibrosis, or huntington's fetuses from coming to term and letting the parents have a healthy child is fucking terrible
Is badly needed
Lurk moar
Does this question even need to be asked?
Strongly support.
Bump
Why the fuck are you bumping this what do you want?
Eugenics/No is a close ended question. Fuck off now.
At least don't post those disgusting things
existence is pain
A deeper discussion? Possible consequences. Maybe what this means for the questions of race and gender issues

Hurt feelings, unfortunately leading to public backlash.
"RABBLE RABBLE IT'S A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT TO MAKE POTATOES THAT CAUSE NOTHING BUT MISERY FOR EVERYONE AROUND THEM"
Chemical castration is a bridge too far but some people just shouldn't be allowed to have kids. What was the punishment for breaking the one child law in China?

>that fucking ID
A good idea that some autistic austrian painter ruined for everyone.
>literally someone who would have benefited from eugenics, how's that autism?

>Dat ID
Some Id you got there my dear bong

ayyyyyyyy
tha's clearly a case of Zika baby...
and yes! eugenics work!
>that ID
people with physical genetic defects which in no way benefit the individual would be highly encouraged to not breed, and a social taboo of breeding with literal inbreds would be formed.
No stygma against them, they are still people, however we have to get it through the ones with thick skulls that they should not fucking give children a chance to live such a horrible life.
oh, and take away kids from parents who are no where near an economic situation where they can care for the child. classified as a diffirent juristiction of child abuse. should the recover before a certain age, they may get the child back.
not much, just dont be on fucking welfare if you have a child. that is all.
I don't know the viability of eugenics in the manner of selecting for preferable traits, other than extremely obvious ones like hair color, or something.
You can certainly do eugenics in the reduction of negative traits. (Sterilizing those with genetic disorders, family history of heart attacks, those with naturally lower muscle density, low intelligence, poor eyesight et cetera)
Removing the negatives over time should eventually just remove them them entirely. Unless you stop removing them, and random mutation will presumably allow them to begin to spread again.

put me in the /r/Sup Forums (tm) screencap, please and thank you

I am fine with loose eugenics as long as this doesn't occur. They can live if they do cheap labor
>What's Sup Forums's take on eugenics?
Needs an overhaul. CRISPR is a thing now. Reproductive technologies are leaps and bounds further along than they were 75 years ago. We can do so much better than just selective breeding.
