South Park is trash because it went from being a self-contained sitcom about nothing in particular to preachy social and political commentary. Every episode turned into 'Current events sarcastically reenacted by cartoon characters with some self-righteous can't-we-all-just-get-along message at the end to make sure no one gets offended'. They somehow went from being deliberately politically incorrect to somehow one of the most politically correct shows around. They still pretended to be edgy, but only in all the safe ways.
The Canada stuff's all fine though.
