Not really. Every 10 years there's a wave of Portuguese doctors and engineers going there to live comfy lives on their huge corrupt state payrolls, but they always come back once they get a taste of the violence and surrounding poverty. It's like clockwork.

Braga and Coimbra are my two favourite, and you can see them each in a couple of days if you have to and stick to the touristy zones. They are all 1:30 hours apart anyway.
Porto is quite big and would take a while. Other anons will have different opinions.
