In reality modern russian prisons are much better then even in soviet times and ofc much better then in US. Generally because we have much more prison guards in Russia and much more discipline. Ofcourse if one have not commited murderers with aggravating circumstances.

Typical russian prison nowadays is like: 85% of drunktards and junkies which are generally harmless. 10% of more to less organised "thieves-in-law", who don't fight amongst themselves or something. Rich suburban Chicagofag here. I, like many other people from the Chicago suburbs fell victim to the epidemic levels of heroin flooding this country. After high school I was in and out of rehabs and jail.

Im also an American born Chinese; my parents are from Taiwan, and emigrated to work as computer engineers. So I've known nothing but affluence my entire upbringing.

During all 3 of my brief stints in jail (typically those arrested for possession of drugs can be bailed out very quickly), i realized the fact that race relations in jail are very different from in real life. I was the only Asian in my entire pod (about 50 men), and they most of them claimed they had never seen an Asian in jail before.

The most interesting thing is that the niggers saw me immediately as an outsider, or at least a foreigner. Everything in jail is broken up into race; the Hispanics keep to themselves, the blacks keep to themselves, and the whites keep to themselves. Obviously I had no group to fall into, and this was seen as threatening to the niggers.

Im quite certain I would raped to death by the niggers in my pod had it not been for the white/Aryan brotherhood guys in my pod. Most of the white inmates were regular people, in for DUI, domestic disputes and other typical shit. But some of them were bald headed, tattooed, and lived a very 14/88 life.

As it turned out they were the most welcoming of people. They knew immediately that I was there because I was a drug addict, so one of the skinheads made me some Ramen to settle my stomach since I was going through withdrawals. Most of them know all about Sup Forums and Sup Forums, which is why I was able to become such friends with them.

The moral of the story is that you'd be surprised about some of those guys in there. It seems that at least in my isolated incident, even these people that would be shunned in the outside world were able to recognize that I'm a patriot with borderline native views himself, despite being Asian.
