You would think so, but i've actually been there, so I know it isn't true.
Most of the foreigners live in the cities are hated by pretty much everybody else. They are segregated in their ghettos. The white French of the countryside and small towns still have a large amount of prestige and still frequently decide elections. A lot of them are hilariously left wing, but it's mostly economic protectionism and trade unionism. They will be very easily converted to LePen since they already are on the whole racist, but typically just vote for socialists to protect themselves.
The French have higher Muslim levels than us but their society is far more anti-Muslim than us. Our ghettos are concentrated in pockets of the north and London and theirs in the major cities and banlieus. They have a better manage on the problem generally than us though since they don't let pro-Muslim rhetoric leak into wider society. They even had a massive debate on whether to ban headscarves, something which would be considered unthinkable here due to political correctness.

This is mostly true but doesn't account for the ruling political, business and media class that peddles the same universalist bullshit as american progressives as long as they don't have to live too close to vibrant diversity.
If ordinary French people truly had their way, there wouldn't be a Muslim problem.
