> Party Rundown GERB - Centrist, pro-Europe. Most likely to win. KB - Socialists DPS - Turkish Minority Party. Absolute cunts. UP - Based traditionalist nationalists. Probably /ourguys/ RB - Generic Centre-Right Bulgaria without Censorship - Right wing, monarchist
Thread is for discussion of and exploration into the Bulgarian elections and Bulgaria as a whole.
Ryan Bell
How likely is UP to win?
Matthew Turner
> Bulgaria without Censorship - Right wing, monarchist
> monarchist
had no idea about that
Samuel Hernandez
they will get 10-12 % of votes
Geert-tier, but could be worse
Samuel Turner
Are you a Bulgarian yourself? You seem to have some knowledge of Bulgarian politics.
Ian Garcia
Didnt they already have an election where they elected some left wing putin puppet?
Cameron Kelly
Not really, I just always follow EU-wide politics
Ethan Barnes
Nah, that may have been Moldova (?).
Jordan Butler
Will they form a coalition with others or nah
Leo Brown
Who is most likely to stop Bulgarians becoming extinct?
Easton Perez
Based. This is a good attitude to have. Nobody gives a fuck about politics outside of Western Europe/the USA, most of the time, which is a bad attitude.
From what I can tell, it would probably be best for GERB to win, as opposed to KB.
Kayden Gray
Oh I was thinking of the presidential election in Bulgaria, the socialist party won
Isaac Robinson
he's talking about the Presidential elections and he's right tbqh In fact him and the Moldovan got elected on the same day.
The President's position in Bulgaria is just ceremonial though. Literally like our queen.
Jackson Scott
I'm not sure how the system works, but I'd assume that they might coalition with GERB.
That's not poor birthrate, merely Bulgarians leaving due to EU membership. Therefore, I'd assume UP.

Elections? I thought Naboo was a monarchy?
Nathan Powell
UP is a coalition of parties, so it depends a lot
they have provided nominal support for GERB in the past, a bit like SNS does with Fico in Slovakia just a population correction, nothing bad
Justin Turner
fuck, the second line was supposeed to go with the first answer

How does someone from Panama know so much about Bulgarian politics?
Robert Rivera
Is it a normal parliamentary style where parties form coalitions to form governments? Is it done on proportional representation, or constituencies?
Jordan Lewis
>UP - Based traditionalist nationalists. Probably /ourguys/ Russian stooges, pic fucking related from early March 2017.
Let me explain: >party headquarters >RUSSIAN flag first, before the Bulgarian flag (and they're supposed to be Bulgarian patriots) >kebab store at the entrance, to the left >mafia store at the entrance, to the right Fuck them, the reason Bulgaria is the poorest shithole in the entire EU is that Russian stooges funnel all the cash back to Russia.

Isaiah Scott
Here's the deal--if the ex-commies (Bulgarian Socialist Party) win, they will try to start mega-projects with Russia--nuclear powerplant, pipelines, etc. Those are expensive energy projects, built with public money, and they will line their pockets, and the pockets of their Russian friends wonderfully. They will also try to put what little amount of pressure they can for the removal of EU sanctions to Russia.
If the other big party wins (GERB), then we have pretty much the same situation--pro EU stance combined with mild incompetence.
No one will have 50+%, they will have to negotiate with the smaller fringe parties that pass the 4% barrier.

There are literally NO policy debates in Bulgaria. There are no /ourguys/, that's why there are 3 million + Bulgarian abroad and only 7 million in Bulgaria.
>abortion? All parties are pro. >gun rights? no one ever mentions it, moderately regulated right now >rapefugees? Everyone says they are against but then sign whatever the EU tells them to sign so they can keep stealing rapefugee funds >education/healthcare/welfare reform? Everyone's pro-reform and promises absurd and impossible things. >corruption and judicial reform? Everyone says they are pro then does nothing because they're all corrupt fucks. >NATO/EU The socialists/commies and Russian patriots (yes, RUSSIAN not Bulgarian patriots) say no in public but then sign whatever USA/EU tells them to sign.
Examples: Newly elected president (former USSR general, who literally was proven to be taking orders from Moscow) said he would oppose sanctions against Russia. Next day he signed the joint EU declaration prolonging sanctions.
Socialist/commie party said they were against CETA. Same people voted YES to CETA in European Parliament.
pic unrealted is the monument to Soviet """liberators" that liberated the fuck out of Bulgaria in WW2.
Colton Ross
That is their only chance--if they have a 2-3% lead on the socialists, they can make a coalition with the Patriots and one of the other smaller parties (like in the previous government).
If commies get the lead, they will automatically get the support of the Turkish minority party (again, those two are traditional partners), and they will form the next government.
Jackson Harris
If you're gonna make a thread about the election, list all the parties. Don't be like the paid (((sociological companies))) who only list 5-7 parties.
There's gonna be 21 parties.
1. ДPOM (Movement for Equal Social Model) - small party 2. „Движeниe зa paдикaлнa пpoмянa Бългapcкaтa пpoлeт“ (Movement for radical change "Bulgarian spring") - small party 3. „Движeниe Haпpeд, Бългapия“ (Bulgaria Forward Movement) - small party 4. „Hoвa peпyбликa“ (New Republic((with the old whores)) 5. „Кoaлиция нa нeдoвoлнитe (БCД – Eвpoлeвицa, Бългapcкa coциaлдeмoкpaтичecкa пapтия, Хpиcтиян-coциaлeн cъюз)“ - Coalition of the disgruntled - Euroleft, Bulgarian Socialdemocratic party, Christian-social union 6. „Boля“ (Will) headed by expensive Russian gas salesman, expensive medicine salesman and populist Mareshki 7. „Бългapcки дeмoкpaтичeн цeнтъp – БДЦ“ - Bulgarian democratic center (center-conservatives) 8. „AБB – Движeниe 21“ (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival) left-centrist russophile cucks 9. ДПC - Movement for Rights and Freedoms (T*rks) 10. БCП - Bulgarian Socialist Party (gommunists who do not LARP) 11. Frozen bank accounts of Putin and a hundred of his close pals. Everything else Russian is free to do business in EU, no sanctions at all.
Do you know what sanctions Russia put on Bulgaria? Absofuckinglutely everything Bulgarian is forbidden from exporting to Russia or doing business in Russia.
And """our""" politicians keep crying that EU must drop sanctions on Russia. Same politicians who go to rallies with Russian flags.

>Are the Turkish minority party as scummy as they sound? Worse.
There are about 300,000 Turks with Bulgarian passports in Turkey (a long and Sup Forumstastic story about how that happened but it's for later) who don't speak or read even a word of Bulgarian, have no idea who the candidates are. And they get to vote every election in special voting sections open in Turkey. Turkey literally gives them a piece of paper with the number of the party they are supposed to vote for and that's how they vote for """Bulgarian""" elections.
James Collins

Germancucks have been a pain in the ass during the presidential elections.
The Bulgarian Embassy in Berlin has requested permission from the German authorities to open voting sections in 17 cities in addition to the sections in the diplomatic and consular missions of Bulgaria in the federal republic, stated a written reply by the Foreign Ministry in response to BNR’s question on the holding of parliamentary elections abroad.
There is still no reply on the part of German authorities whether Bulgarian citizens living in Germany will be able to vote in sections other than the ones in the embassy in Berlin, the consular missions in Munich and Frankfurt and the honorary consulates in five other German cities.
