I've been hearing a lot about "kekistan" lately and I was wondering if it would actually be possible to take a country for ourselves. There was a thread last night where we touched on the subject of taking Madagascar since it was close to land that would be relatively easy to take over (Africa) and has a small military itself of under 16'000 including air force and navy. It also has land that is suitable for farming and enough natural resources (Oil and metals). We could also use the local population for slaves if we wanted.
The main problem would be manpower. How many Sup Forumsacks and /k/ommandos could we get together to pull something like this off? I want to hear discussion about every aspect of the operation and what it would entail pre and post operation.
ITT - we discuss the likelihood and means of which we would take over a country.

If we took a place like Madagascar by surprise, captured their military bases and the politicians we'd be fine. Say we just went to Africa, bought a bunch of trawlers and weapons then crossed the 400km or so of ocean to Madagascar we could proceed from there. It wouldn't cost too much to buy an army weapons especially in Africa. We could worry about that later. First we'd need to agree on a plan to take a country and land. If we can agree on a plan we can establish leadership after the fact, probably go with a type of roman senate to start with.

Sup Forums is 120 thousand fit college educated middle class men. If we really wanted to we could invade New Zealand and install a new government. We definitely have the manpower. There are plenty of veterans here. Plus everyone here knows where the magazine release is on an M16, from years of playing Call Of Duty. Realistically the Sup Forums Reaction Force would be far more effective than half the world's militaries. The Afghan military is fucked up on opium. The Iraqi army cant even do jumping jacks.. Plus New Zealand has only 8 thousand military personnel the majority of whom are useless paper pushers. I don't actually support the violent overthrow of New Zealand. I just think its kind of a fun idea conceptualy.
