There's a lot less OC than there was a few years ago, I think it's at least partially cause during the height of the Obama years when there was no end in sight a lot of guys were motivated as hell to make stuff, and it's always easier to make fucked up jokes or argumentative points when your side is playing offense. Also there was a lot more discussion about political theory and just general knowledge spreading threads back then cause there was less happening in the news. Flags kind of messed up the board culture cause a lot of times it causes devolution to a meaner version of Sup Forums. Previously you'd have to create your own way to insult someone posting bullshit, now you can just use flag memes and posters in this site are often incredibly fucking lazy. Especially the new guys who were swept in during the election, I could be wrong but I'd be willing to bet it was the same core group of people who started in /n/ who were doing all the ben garrison edits and youtube videos and stuff.
