The sub was started by a small group of Sup Forumsacks in order to act as a sort of gateway drug towards right wing beliefs. It went against neoconservative, it was edgy, but it wasn't overtly "racist." Few people go from normie to 1488 in a single move, and understanding that is essential to recruitment. That sub is now filled with former liberals- yes, many of them are civic nationalists, many support Israel, and many believe all races are equal- but these are people that would have voted for Clinton or Sanders that are now supporting Trump. That's an improvement. That's progress. I've even seen people in that sub say that BLM is starting to make them "racist." It's a long process, but T_D has been extremely useful for spouting propaganda.
Keeping Sup Forums out of sight is the best thing for the spreading of right wing ideologies, in all honesty. When the average person visits this place and sees all of us calling each other niggers and faggots- rather than attempting to understand board culture- they're repulsed and shy away from the right.
