It could take 40 years to get Fukushima under control. The Japanese hate to be embarrassed so they cover things up and lie about incompetence.
Why are the Japanese, who consume mainly a seafood diet not freaking out about the fact that their seafood is being contaminated?
In reality how much should we be worried about the hundreds of thousands of gallons of radioactive water being pissed into the pacific?
Why aren't more people talking about it?
I love seafood, love tuna (who are prone to heavy metal contamination) and live on the west coast. Radiation has already hit our coasts. Why won't the world come together to fix Fukushima.
Its many times worse than Chernobyl, theyre embarrassed and ashamed.
Kayden Fisher
They need to grow a pair like the Ukrainian guys who literally went on a suicide mission to clean up the most radioactive graphic rods by hand.
Logan Peterson
Good plan, are you volunteering?
Leo Collins
Is this a meme?
Jaxson Myers
Nope but it does make you think because its our ocean as much as it is theirs. We do need volunteers, perhaps not as edgy as suicide squads though. The Japanese love committing suicide anyways so they would be right at home with that job.
Alexander Gonzalez
they already done that with little success. currently they are trying robots but they keep melting.
Samuel Parker
Truth is, they're trying to create godzilla to destroy CHYNA
Julian Powell
I met a hot girl from Romania once in Greece. I asked her if she thought it was cool that Dracula is from her country and if she had ever been to Transylvania.
Owen Hernandez
If they admit it, they'd have to commit sudoku for their dishonorable behavior
most liquidators didn't know they are volunteering suicide. Its USSR we are talking about, they didn't warn people
Jason Bennett
There's a lot of hot girls around, just beware of the gypsy shitskins. They usually hang around in groups, so they're easy to spot
Michael Fisher
I could see that. Pretty messed up. I remember watching a documentary where they had them build their own shields and armor out of sheet metal before they went up on top of the reactor. Scary stuff.
Now that you mention that I do remember reading about that when the disaster happened. Im was being facetious but the truth is it should be an international effort to stop the contamination as fast as possible.
Henry Long
I once asked a guy who worked for me about the Chernobyl disaster. He didn't really want to talk about it and it was pretty awkward, he just said it was very scary. I asked another Ukrainian guy and apparently his dad passed away from cancer related to it, awkward again.
Ryan Nelson
I think we should let the japs handle this one. I am not trusting the US to handle anything delicate at the moment.
Eli Williams
They are waiting until the more "hot" radionuclides (Half-Life of a years to a decade or two) to decay into less dangerous daughter products so it will easier to create a more stable containment structure over it and clean-up stuff.
It is going to take decades to clean-up though just like Chernobly (Just got recently got a new shed)
David Baker
Most of the first responders for Fukushima are already dead. I don't think you appreciate how out of control the situation is. Chernobyl was the same - watch the documentary "The Battle for Cheronbyl".
Gorbachev is in it himself - he discusses his terror when he understood that if the core reached the aquifer under the plant, there would be a second explosion that would have wiped out most of western Europe.
Blake Lee
Tepco ceo should have
Jayden Brooks
radiation doesn't work like that faggot. Robts don't melt from radiation. High ionizing radiation is causing the robots to fail because of it's deteriorating effect at a molecular level.
Matthew Bennett
They dont have a foot thick lead shielding do they? Pics of melted bots?
Kayden Sanders
>Because americans wanted them to keep the connection with stuxnet quite
Cameron Ortiz
Hi slide thread.
>tfw the documentary short Half-life In Fukushima shows a man and his father living In the radiation zone with no major I'll effects and people can go into even the red zone during the day.
Carson Walker
lmao bullshit
Jose Morris
Computers just crash from the gamma rays introducing errors in the ram.
Jaxson Fisher
Because irradiation of the world is pol's end goal.
Go back to your non greenpilled safespace.
Bentley Rogers
You think gojira just grow on tree, you fucking round eye!
Oliver Lewis
They're not melted, the radiation fucks with the computer chips and electronic components because the retards who designed these things apparently didn't clue in on how radiation actually works.
At least NASA knows how to harden their equipment.
Justin Clark
>40 years >2011
Justin Martin
I thought those "human robots" were semi-tricked about the full danger and exposures.
Austin Sanchez
Its why fission power is dead. It renders dense population centers uninhabitable, all that infrastructure lost.
Anybody got those photos of all the fallout looking abandoned stores and shops?
Ian Turner
That's because the amount of radiation, even immediately following the accident, is negligible to the point that you're never, ever, going to see any actual direct ill effects from it. The whole thing is a severe case of media fear mongering and oil-shilling.
You know what had a much bigger environmental impact than the fukushima NPP? One of the oil refineries caught fire during the same earthquake and literally spread aerosolized toxic sludge and worse across half a city and ACTUALLY killed people (30+) UNLIKE fukushima, which has killed NOBODY. Sometimes the media even showed the fucking explosion from the refinery while talking about Fukushima.
But you not only never heard about that, nobody even bothered to look into the toxicological effects nor shut down the city, nor provided an exclusion zone of any sort. Because the only unacceptable toxic waste is radioactive. If it's gas or oil, too fucking bad, you peasants can just live with it and die. And that's because the anti-nuclear bullshit is propogated by the oil industry foremost. It's the only energy source that can feasibly compete with oil, being significantly safer and cheaper (up until the oil lobby got egregious red tape legislation slapped on all nuclear projects to increase costs)
Blake Powell
If the Japanese are so smart then why did they build a nuclear reactor in an area that regularly gets hit by earthquakes and tsunamis?
Nolan Bailey
It Soviet Russia, the goverment doesnt protect you from radiation, they send you to pick up nuclear rods. Xaxaxa
James Sanders
>Its why fission power is dead. It renders dense population centers uninhabitable, all that infrastructure lost.
You're a fucking retard.
The entire exclusion zone surrounding fukushima was and still is 100% safe for human habitation. The only place with any danger at all is the NPP itself. The radiation release from the reactor was mostly tritium (hydrogen) gas, which just floated into space, literally, and trace amounts of heavier isotopes that got washed out into the ocean through cracks in the containment vessel. The media used lots of scare quotes and fear messaging to make it seem significantly worse than it actually was.
Fission is "dead" because people, like you, are retards and the media's done their damnedest to villify it.
Watt for watt there is no safer form of power generation on the planet.
Brayden Rodriguez
They built their backup generators in the flood zone. Stupid nipon gooks.
Isaac Rodriguez
Fukushima didn't kill a single person
Some of the workers got doses that exceeded the allowable yearly limit, but that's still less than the minimum amount linked to cancer, and not anywhere near enough to have killed anyone.
Oliver Cooper
Ok, I'll bite. What's bullshit? Have you watched the documentary?
>Why won't the world come together to fix Fukushima.
I'm curious, what do you think they have been doing the past 6 years? Do you think they just walked away from the site in 2011 and never returned or something?
Noah Russell
how would they get picks of the melted bots? send in more bots to take pics?
Elijah Foster
The Japanese have too much Hubris when it comes to the world stage.
They enjoy the stereotype they currently get from the western world.
But any major slip-up that the cause stems from their own inability, then the jap powers that be will do anything they can to keep it on the down-low.
Tl;dr
Japanese don't want the world to view them as Chinese, but they really are.
Robert Evans
>fukushima, which has killed NOBODY.
>Fukushima didn't kill a single person
Stop with this meme. Victims of a nuclear disaster are very hard to count.
Truth is, we don't know, wouldn't be surprising if there were a few deaths since Tepco used hobbos picked up in the streets as liquidators, easy to cover up.
Now the death toll will go up as the years pass, even if it will be difficult to count these because using cancer statistics is kind of messy. That's why the chernobyl death toll goes from hundreds to few hundreds of thousands deaths as today.
You can be stupid or be paid by Tepco, either way saying this kind of disaster didn't or can't kill people is a lie.
Eli Myers
>greenpilled
I would sacrifice ever single puppy, kitten, dolphin, and every other animal Disney has taught your dim witted brain to anthropomorphize for the betterment of a single human, you cuck
It's not a meme, nobody died from increased cancer rates, and nobody died from direct radiation exposure
If we're going to count radiation induced cancer as a minus against nuclear, then how about we count pollution caused deaths against coal, oil, and gas?
Guess how many that kills every year? I'll give you a hint, it's several million times more than nuclear, you fucking shill
Luis Rogers
How many years has it been? I feel generally moer tired and stupid these days.
Lincoln Butler
That's from all the estrogen burgers the kikes have been force feeding you.
Adrian Walker
Literally only gipsy Romanians in Spain. Fucking hell.
Parker Howard
i don't know either, got it from here
Luke Flores
nippon is truly animal. Hmm, what good will come though?
Elijah Hill
>Modern Japs >Anything good
Japan died when the Americans first showed up and helped abolish the old Japanese tradition.
Benjamin Barnes
ITT: people who learned everything they know about radiation from STALKER and Fallout 3
Elijah Adams
Ukrainians my ass, there were volunteers from all over USSR, but mainly from RuSSR. My grandfather died of radiation poisoning some time later. Ukrainian steppen retards are the ones who caused the calamity.
Xavier Clark
Be nice about your kokole brothers ivan.
Lucas Torres
They're not my brothers, they're chimps mimicking as humans.
Nicholas Moore
not sure about that one, since fuel rods are basically medusas in that looking at one would kill you instantly.
Easton Williams
stinky japs have no honor about their mistakes
Easton Stewart
Lots of interesting graphs and animations showing where the water from that thing is going.
Ignore the trolls that say that Fukushima is no big deal......
Google 500 sieverts per hour, which is what the 160 tons of graphite and nuclear fuel pile is spitting out right now......
the problem is there is no control over what has happened, the genie can't be put back in the bottle....
very apocalyptic event if u ask me.......1/3 of the waters poisoned and all
Lucas Perry
Dishonorable nip is shamefull dispray Not instant, probably 3rd degree burns from infrared heat and profuse internal bleeding from gamma.
Brandon Sanchez
graphite rods, they are used for insulating the fissionable material inside a reactor. In Chernobyl they were blown apart and were strewn all over the roof of the power plant. They had to remove them and they were some of the most radioactive pieces.
