In North Korea my life is most likely destined to be shit. The country is shit, the food is shit, my job will be shit. Beyond that I'll live a bland and brainwashed existence, the best I can hope for is a lovable wife and child.

Even if I 'luck' out and get born into some honourable important family, my life will suck because I'll just be a cuck to Kim, unless I want to get publicly executed. I'll have no real power and will live the whack North Korean version of lavish which won't be too nice and I'll live in doubt/fear of every decision I make.


In Syria I could be born poor but would have a life with more potential. I could be born to a family that succeeds at immigrating to a country like Canada, Britain etc.. and live a first world life in a tolerant country. Alternatively, I could live a hard yet fulfilling life rebelling against the cunty Syrian gov, and while I might die, it would be a rewarding life in its own right. No matter what, if I make it to adulthood, I'll probably be able to safely sustain myself and live a fine life, and if I die in childhood, then I'm dead and oh well.

Prewar Syria was comfy AF.Sure, every taxi driver was an intelligence officer and it was completely a police state, but for the most part, if you kept to yourself, they wouldnt bother the common people who are not politically active.Most of these people who complain of the regimes brutality had it coming to them desu. Everyday life wasnt bad for people who didnt stick their noses too much in stuff they shouldnt. And even though income was low for some people, there was Free education, Free healthcare, low prices, good security and most people were happy. I know people meme here, but what has happened to Syria is the catastrophe of our times. I hope one day it can recover during my lifetime and return to its former glory. Syrians and Syria dont deserve whats happened to them
