If you're born late 80s onwards you're a crossover really, depending on your life. I was born late 90 and I strongly consider myself an early gen Z as I match nearly every criterion and I suspect the majority of people on this site do too.

They weren't iPhones, but we're really splitting hairs if the key differentiator between two generations is whether or not your phones had a touch screen, The experience was the same.

I only really remember the last few years of the 90s as an 8/9 year old. You're not really conscious of these things until you start making your own decisions and participating in culture which typically starts kicking in your mid-late teens, so late 2000s for me.
