It's insulting that people born in the late 70s are considered Millennials.

People born between 1977 and 1979 listened to Nirvana and Soundgarden, and graduated before the millennium. NONE of them were in high school by the time cheesy shit like Britney Spears and Hanson began taking over. So how are they Millennials?

i thought millennial was 1980 - 2002

Soundgarden only has one good album, and even that is half trash

Loud Love right?

Millennial implies coming of age after 2000 with formative years in 90s, thus born late 80s.

Gen Y is like formative years in 80s, of age in 90s, nirvana/sound garden like you say.

>tfw you'll always be apart of the cuck generation

Gen Y is 1983-1994. Dont worry you're still in your special little marketing title of gen x.

tfw born in between generations and don't identify directly with either

How older you?

Well at least I'm not a fucking millennial.

Our generation really is pretty faggy. Gen Z gonna have to holocaust us I think.

21, born in 95

...

1996 reporting in. Heil Hitler and have a nice day.

this is wrong they keep fucking changing it. according to google beavis and butthead are now millenials.

FUCK

I'm 1994, literally the last of the cuckolds.

Atleast I can be safe in the knowledge that 94 kids are scientifically proven to be the most attractive.

Meh. This generation labeling is all Madison Ave. It's literally marketers. That's why there is no one definition. It's all made up. I'm 53, some stupid fucks think that means "boomer", but it can't because my parents were boomers and they didn't have me as teenagers.

My generation was the end, after say 1990 everyones cuckold

^ this.

Luckily only a small chunk born in late 80's are total faggot SJW's.
At least from my experience anyway, and this is Canada we're talking about. Then again I live in Nova Scotia, which is quite different in terms of growing up.

lol Stanley Tweedle is your president.

>born in 1977
>millennial
Hahahahaha no

Google has it as the top result so it must be true

76 here. I can 100% guarantee that at least half of my peers should be genocided along with approximately 60-70% of gen y.

Fuck I was one year off not being part of the cuck generation

t. every generation ever

"these new kids are ruining everything, why can't they be more like our hard working generation!'

its different, Australia is sorta behind America culturally by about 1 generation, and also 1 generation behind in cultural Marxism, so here in Australia we only got 2 generations of cultural Marxist fags where you guys got 3, so basically everyone up to like 65 in America is a cultural Marxist, whereas in Australia its only up to about 35, everyone older than that is redpilled still, that's why theres still hope for Australia! god bless the united states of Australia and god bless everyone! goodnight all! its been a blast! see ya next year xoxoxoxox

>didn't grow up listening to classical
Your shitty rock and pop isn't much better than millennial era shitty rock and pop.

>tfw 1995
>don't fit in anywhere
i'm certainly not a millennial, i wasn't really cognizant for the important events, i thought 9/11 was a movie and never really grasped the iraq war until it had cooled off, but i still feel older than gen z, they're different, more degenerated, growing up being able to access the full internet in secret all the time
i feel like most other people i know my age are similar, we're not gen z

I love generation Z cant' wait until they start stirring up some shit and triggering the SJWs and normies.

not to mention my age group 95-96 is broadly much less SJW than even the people born a year earlier, even in seattle suburbs

>mfw 1998
>mfw i will lead gen z on the march to destroy globalist tyrants

I am January 1996 and i feel a similar way. 9/11 was one of my first memories, and my childhood around 2000-2006 I remember being largely free of social media, though my high school years were swamped with that shit, so I have always found myself to be rather "between" Millennials and Gen Zyklon

Millennial / Gen Y = Born in the 80s / 90s
Gen Z = No memory of 9/11

that's the difference right there. they were practically or literally born right into that swamp, it's a big difference growing up with that shit, i feel bad for them

'78 here.
I was running construction crews on 9/11.
We are Gen X.

Enter the Soundgarden

Gen x here, you kids missed all the fun.

People born in '77 are old enough to be the parents of people born in '95. No way are they the same generation.

the text of your post doesn't even match up with that image, and none of this has anything to do with politics

what the fuck

If you're born late 80s onwards you're a crossover really, depending on your life. I was born late 90 and I strongly consider myself an early gen Z as I match nearly every criterion and I suspect the majority of people on this site do too.

It even works politically. If you're a digital native, you're part of the same sphere of influence that has caused a political shift in gen Z to the right.

I'm really triggered by all these faggots being born after me

79'er here. I can remember in the 90's the entire media shit all over generation X by calling them slackers, lazy, and burnouts. This generational shit talking about millenials is not the first time I've seen it.

> july 96

Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.

Socrates

If you have distinct memories of the Cold War and the possibility of your fiery demise in a nuclear holocaust then you are not a millennial.

When I was younger, late 70s was the tail-end of Generation X. Someone's been moving the goalposts.

(((someone)))

Weirdest thing about being Gen Z is looking at the 80s and 90s. Completely different world and it's just alien to me. I don't remember 9/11 either, I was only 2 years old at the time.
youtube.com/watch?v=QZkkceJyTGY

To add to this, I remember when I was in school, people had phones and on those phones were videos of all kinds of fucked up porn. They weren't iPhones, but we're really splitting hairs if the key differentiator between two generations is whether or not your phones had a touch screen, The experience was the same.

I remember 9/11, but I was 10. I was a kid with no real understanding of what was happening. I grew up with mass internet porn, music and software piracy, instant communication, broadband internet, online gaming.

Superunknown was great

Badmotorfinger was their last respectable album.

I only really remember the last few years of the 90s as an 8/9 year old. You're not really conscious of these things until you start making your own decisions and participating in culture which typically starts kicking in your mid-late teens, so late 2000s for me. The late 2000s were exactly the same as now, but fashion was a bit different, and even things like skinny jeans have only recently started to fade. Most normies still wear them and they came in over 10 years ago.

so let me get this right, i'm from 1982

in the 90's they called us gen x
in the 00's they called us gen y
and now in the 10's we're supposedly gen z.

smells like bs to me

>smells like Judaism to me

ftfy

plz extend it to 81

i dont want to be considered a millenial

i have nothing to do with those faggots

People born in 1977 are fucking 40 now. No way they're millenials. They're turning into grandparents at this point.

wtf just make up your mind already, x y z, you stupid millennials don't even know what generation you are, stop being so indecisive.

83 here. I'm the oldest millennnial

Haven't seen anyone say that Gen Z is anything before 1995

>Nirvana
Even Spears' fans are considered to be people with better music taste. Sage

Just realised we're currently in the late 10s and the decade is almost over

That retarded website is wrong. I have no idea where they got those numbers.

>It's insulting that people born in the late 70s are considered Millennials.
The whole idea of non-overlapping generations is absurd.
My parents were born in the early days of ww2, and are thus too old to be official "boomers".
But they have far more in common with the boomer generation than I do.
I was born in 1964, and I'm really too young to be a boomer, and too old to be Gen-X.
But there's this retarded idea that I have to be one or the other, so I'm supposedly a boomer.
People born during the actual post-war baby boom were teenagers when the Beatles came to America.
I wasn't even born.
Woodstock and Vietnam are important parts of boomer culture.
Woodstock happened just before I entered kindergarten.
I was 8 years old when the last US troops left Vietnam, and 10 when the south finally lost the war.
How in the FUCK am I a boomer?

why is this board populated entirely by children?

Born in '88. Fucking despise the term millennial. When I graduated in 2006 things like social media and smart phones were in their infancy. My Space was relevant, Facebook was a fetus, YouTube just launched and the iPhone didn't exist yet. I feel like a kid born in '95 is the true essence of what it means to be a millennial.

>why is this board populated entirely by children?
It's not just this board. /sci/ is shocked a guy in their 50's posts there.
I'm pretty sure Sup Forums is mostly middle-schoolers.

1997 here, Hail Victory!

>when you were born in 1995 and have fuck all idea which generation you're in because there's so many definitions

This has always felt weird, it always seemed like most people were SJW but nobody in my school was, and I lived in a verrrrry liberal city

First album was fantastic. Kys

>when you were born in 1995 and have fuck all idea which generation you're in because there's so many definitions

iktfb

i also remember posting u were born in 1995 would blow your cover as a 12 year old.

How times have changed.

Shit.
I just realized that almost all of my fun memories came from Sup Forums

Agree i was born in mid 80's and my brother was born in mid 90's there is no way we are the same generation

April 20th 1889 here

Nov/96

My boys and I from highschool were always red-pilling our lefty cuck teachers. We do now in Uni too. Our class was never as faggy as the older years and we are also in a very liberal city ( Van. BC )

Why does gen x get 10 years and millennials get 20 years? Also, hard to imagine that a 40 year old would be a millennial

1985 here. Godspeed+prosper, 90s born

Tough shit, Finnbro.

all of these generational terms were invented by marketing companies to figure out target demographics

they don't exist
there are no clearly defined measurements of generations

2006 here. googo gaagaa my tummy hurts
