Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

So, capitalism entails a few things: division of labor, free enterprise, protection of intellectual property through patents, but most importantly the pooling of capital into investments. Trade-stock companies did not exist until the early 1600s in the Netherlands, and other core components of capitalism did not exist until later.
If we call everything capitalism, then capitalism is not a useful word, as it has been rendered too ambiguous. Both the Soviet Union and Pinochet's Chile are capitalist, according to your definition. Thus making any facile point you are trying to make totally moot.
